Wendy Williams’ Assisted Living Staff Could Hold Key To Freedom
It has been a nightmare for Wendy Williams since she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and primary progressive aphasia. It has affected her ability to live her life to the fullest and be the person that viewers remember. She was once full of life and exuberance, talking smack and gossip about the hottest celebrities. Yet, it was a success and fans loved her for her brutal honesty. Sadly, that all changed and since 2022, Sabrina Morrissey has been her court-appointed guardian. Williams was seen one year ago in the Lifetime documentary, exploring her new normal.

She appeared despondent and had no idea who or where she was. Viewers felt this was exploitative, a quick cash grab for her camp. Now that some time has passed, Williams is disputing that she has any form of dementia. Furthermore, there is no cognitive decline despite being put in a memory care facility. It seems she was placed there for the wrong reasons and is desperate to get out. A new TMZ special has blown the lid off of the suffering she has endured. Plus, a staff member from the facility is further validating that Williams is just fine.

The staff member shared this insight:
“Wendy doesn’t have good and bad days. She’s the same all the time. You can tell her something today and 2 weeks later she’ll remember it. Her memory is fine.”
Therefore, someone who has worked closely with the host is vouching that Wendy Williams is doing just fine. Immediately, a Reddit thread was started to discuss how this employee could help:
- As a nurse our duty is to advocate for the autonomy of the patient regardless of their diagnosis. It is an ethical principle we should uphold by.
Should They Be Fired?
Some questioned if the employee should be fired based on how quickly they were to speak out. More so, if that staff member could be trusted on their analysis of Wendy Williams. However, they remained anonymous and who knows if they had planned on ultimately leaving the facility:
- Not quite sure I would trust a health care provider who was willing to breech confidentiality that quickly.
- Welp, that staff member is going to lose their job if they haven’t been fired already.
Others in the dementia field noted how their residents had completely lucid days, even weeks but then backslid:
- I have dementia patients who can remember things that happened weeks ago and we talk regularly. They still have dementia. I work in a residential facility. They cannot leave.
Another noted they never believed she had dementia and it was all a front to cover up other problems she may have had. They are seeing glimmers of the old Wendy and that is giving them hope.
Do you think the more staff that speaks to her lucidity, the better case it will make for Wendy to be freed? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
