Katie Thurston Shares Cancer Update, Thanks Fans For Support

Bachelorette Katie Thurston shocked fans when she revealed that at the young age of 34, she has breast cancer. After the initial reveal, she shared more details including how she found out and what led her to seek medical attention. Katie Thurston Shares Another Update On Her Breast Cancer
Bachelorette Katie Thurston went public with her breast cancer diagnosis over the weekend. She shared that she has done tons of research on things such as invasive ductal carcinoma, mastectomies, and pregnancy after cancer. Katie is determined to battle cancer and win the fight with her loving fiance Jeff Arcuri by her side.
On Tuesday, Katie went to Instagram to share another update with fans. She said,
“Headed back to LA temporarily while also looking for a spot in NYC. Ideally near Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center but flexible. In the meantime, important appointments this week and will definitely keep you updated.
Previously, Katie revealed that she will be having a biopsy on her lymph node which will tell them more. She will also be finding out what stage she has along with the treatment plan. She already knows that she will have a mastectomy and also chemotherapy. She’s also looking into freezing her eggs.

She’s Thankful She Went Public With Her Cancer
Bachelorette Katie Thurston also shared how glad she is that she decided to go public with her diagnosis. Along with close friends and family, she also has the support from all of Bachelor Nation.
In her post on Tuesday, Katie said,
“Thank you all for your love and support. Going public with my battle was more helpful than I ever anticipated. Thankful for the army standing behind me.”
Fans are eager to stand by Katie as she goes through this battle. Fellow Bachelor alums are also standing by her side and sending her love and support.
Some of the alums who sent well wishes and words of support to Katie are Justin Glaze, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Becca Kufrin, Jesse Palmer and Zac Clark.
Katie noted that she has no history of breast cancer in her family. She also shared that she has stopped her birth control after learning that her cancer is hormone-positive.
