Is Justin Hartley’s ‘Tracker’ Returning For Season 3?
Justin Hartley’s Tracker has continued to be a hit during its sophomore year. On Sunday, Colter Shaw solved his white whale mystery on the disappearance of Gina Picket. Now, he needs to solve his father’s death. Does that mean the CBS reward seeker adventure series is returning for Season 3?

Is Tracker Season 3 Confirmed?
After a long winter hiatus, Tracker Season 2 is back and even better than Season 1. Now that Colter Shaw has solved the disappearance and murder of Gina Picket, fans want to know what happened to his father. There have been some hints that his siblings Russell (Jensen Ackles) and Dory (Melissa Roxburgh) have been keeping some secrets from him. His sister kept some details from him. Moreover, Russell saw another man in the woods that fateful day.
There are also some concerns that their father or mother could have been government agents. This could be what Dory and Russell are hiding. Could they wrap all of this up in a dozen episodes? It doesn’t seem likely. Therefore, fans may wonder if Justin’s series has been renewed.
As of today, CBS has not renewed Tracker. However, they did not renew Season 2 until the first week of March 2024. Therefore, it seems possible that a decision will be made soon. CBS has not announced much for the 2025-2026 season. That includes the mothership NCIS. This information should be announced in the next two to three months.
Will Colter’s Father’s Death Be Solved In Season 2?
This season of Tracker is at the halfway point and it does not seem possible that the family mystery will be solved. Furthermore, Justin Hartley shared with TV Insider how he abhors tying things up at the end of the season.
I don’t like the idea of wrapping things up in a pretty little bow just for the sake of the fact that it’s the final episode of the season, and sow we write to the plot so that everyone’s like, oh, great, everything’s perfect and fine, and we can go and make a third season.
instead, Hartley wants to focus on the multi-layers of this story. Firstly, there is the potential government involvement. Next, there are threats that need to be followed. Most of all, he revealed that things unravel before Season 2 ends.
That certainly sounds like Justin Hartley is planning for Season 2. Now, CBS needs to make it official.
