Earlier this season, WCTH stars Erin Krakow and Kevin McGarry warned Hearties that something will happen in Hope Valley that will “shatter their world.” Now that there are only five more Season 12 episodes left, it seems likely that this serious issue may be hinted at in When Calls The Heart Season 12, Episode 8 “The Show Must Go On.”

Here is the video and what it could possibly hint at.

Hallmark Releases Video Preview For When Calls The Heart ‘The Show Must Go On’

Hallmark has released another Preview Video for WCTH Season 12, Episode 8 “The Show Must Go On.” This video preview begins with Nathan and Elizabeth talking about their undercover escapade the week before. Nathan seems a little preoccupied with her persona. She asks, “Do you wish I was more like Diane?” His response was simply, “I just like knowing she is in there.”

After that snippet, the focus was on Rosemary’s big radio production of The Importance Of Being Earnest. She reminds the cast that this is a radio play and that “thousands of people” will be tuning in. Therefore, she wants this to be a good production.

However, there was something very unplanned. The male leads are all sick. Bill Avery is shivering and looking unwell. Next, Mike Hickam has a thermometer in his mouth and is coughing. Even Lee is sick! When she exclaims, “Lee!” her sickly husband manages to say, “I’m sorry sweetheart. I didn’t know this was contagious.” These handsome Hope Valley men are super sick.

What a mess! However, this situation could be worse than the play being delayed. What historical thing from around this era occurred?

Could WCTH Season 12 Include The Spanish Flu?

Many Hearties are discussing in social media groups that this new WCTH illness that so many Hope Valley residents are dealing with could be The Spanish Flu. Moreover, this seems to be what Erin Krakow and Kevin McGarry seemed to hint at when the spoke to Swooon earlier this year.

The two revealed that there is a big challenge that will be pretty devastating. “It’s very poignant to the time we are in, 1921, and not only does it shatter their world, it shatters the entire community. It’s an intense thing that happens.”

Many Hearties believe that The Spanish Flu epidemic is happening in Hope Valley. While this occurred between 1918-1920, this is Hallmark and When Calls The Heart. They are not always historically accurate. But the question may be whether the feel-good network will open up that Pandora’s Box during this tragic time in history.

Hearties, do you think that the ill residents is The Spanish Flu? Or do you think it is something else?

Don’t miss the premiere of WCTH Season 12, Episode 8, “The Show Must Go On,” on Sunday, February 23, at 9 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel. This episode will be available on Peacock to stream up to 72 hours after the premiere, as well as on Hallmark+ the next day.
