‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Amy Slaton’s Camel Attack Will Air On Show?

1000-Lb Sisters remains one of TLC’s most popular reality television shows. But since the last season ended so abruptly, fans have been asking questions about the show’s future.
Last year, Amy Slaton Halterman found herself in legal trouble during a family trip to the zoo. She alleged a camel attacked her, which the zoo adamantly denied. When the authorities arrived, they arrested Amy and her male companion on drug possession charges.
It’s widely believed 1000-Lb Sisters will return sometime this year for another season. The question is, will the network document the controversial incident?
1000-Lb Sisters Star Amy Slaton Halterman Faced Legal Issues Last Fall
If the situation were as simple as a camel bite, many believe TLC would have no problem featuring the storyline on 1000-Lb Sisters. But it’s more complicated than that.
“Do y’all think Season 7 will air or address the safari park incident?!” a 1000-Lb Sister viewer posted on Reddit recently.
I’m not sure if they were even filming when it occurred but if that camel is on camera biting Amy I will die 😂😂”

Amy Slaton Halterman was arrested at the zoo and went to court. Even though one viewer seriously believed camera crews accompanied her, it might be too much of a hot-button issue for the network to cover.
“I live in the area where the incident occurred. I know for a fact that when she came to TN for her court date the camera crew tagged along,” another Redditor replied. “I’m sure they weren’t allowed in the courtroom and possibly not even near the building but they visited some stores in the area after she attended court and she told someone I know that she can film whatever she wants but ultimately it’s up to the production company to pick and choose what they want to include in the show. So yes I think there will be another season and I think they’ll brush up on the incident slightly. Just enough to appease the audience.”
Not Every Fan Feels Convinced TLC Will Feature The Incident
However, other 1000-Lb Sisters viewers weren’t so sure. So far, the show has skirted around several other legal issues various family members faced.

Other Redditors wrote:
- “Nope, it didn’t cover Tammy’s run-in with the law either.”
- “I highly doubt it. They’ve left out all her boyfriends and Tammy’s arrest so I would be very surprised if they included it.”
- “Probably be a 2 sec flashback about it 🙄”
- “I really doubt they’ll air that (even if they were filming at the time). That’s a negative type of attention and TLC I’m guessing wouldn’t want to show that? Idk because I don’t watch any of their other reality shows. A dirty house and petty fighting is one thing, but being arrested for drugs when your children are with you maybe crosses a line.”
