Last week, Melissa Gilbert was in her first When Calls The Heart episode. This was the Season 12 episode entitled “When Autumn Leaves Begin To Fall.” Melissa portrays Georgie McGiill. She is a forensic accounting investigator with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. What makes her role so interesting is that she and Jack Wagner’s Bill Avery have quite a history together.
Georgie and Bill went to school together. Moreover, in this episode, the two reveal that they had a crush on each other. They were oblivious to the other’s interest.
However, they are both trying to solve a big-time train robbery. The reason that this is of interest is the double eagle gold coins that were used in Hope Valley. When Will Melissa Gilbert Be Back On WCTH Season 12?
This week the new WCTH Season 12 episode is entitled “Dance The Night Away.” The official synopsis reveals that Elizabeth and Nathan head to Union City for a date night. It turns out that the two run into some of the people that the Mountie has been investigating in his undercover operation. Now, date night is improv undercover night. The two are portraying “shady coin dealer Danny DiMarco and his wife Diane.” They wind up doing The Charleston at this party as they gather more intel.
Meanwhile, Rosemary is ready to put on a theatrical show for Hope Valley. This time it is “The Importance Of Being Earnest.” She is auditioning people but is having some issues finding the right cast. Allie and Oliver continue their environmental investigation, while Lucas and Edie get closer playing cards. Lastly, Fiona is still trying to figure out her future.
Therefore, there is no indication that Melissa’s Georgie McGill will be returning for this episode. As Melissa is only going to guest star in two episodes, the writers may be savoring her second appearance and bringing back Georgie for the end of the season.
Could Georgie McGill Be Back For WCTH Season 13?
Melissa Gilbert has already expressed her wish to return to When Calls The Heart. However, Hallmark has not yet renewed the series for Season 13.
