Luna Nozawa has recently become the subject of a shocking storyline on The Bold and the Beautiful. Her actress, Lisa Yamada, has recently opened up about the character’s arc on the soap. Notably, she discussed what recent revelations could mean for Luna, hinting at what fans can expect next.

There Will Be Whole New Family Dynamics For Luna On The Bold & The Beautiful

For some time, fans have long wondered about the identity of Luna’s father on the soap. All the while, this also meant Luna could have deeper connections to the other characters than she realized and could even upend current family dynamics.

Recently, it had come to light on the soap that Luna’s adoptive cousin, John “Finn” Finnegan is actually her biological father. Fans had long suspected Luna would turn out to be a blood relation to Finn, though some previously thought she would turn out to be his paternal half-sister.

This twist has all sorts of implications, from making the villainous Sheila Carter her grandmother and Steffy Forrester her stepmother. This could also impact Steffy and Finn’s relationship, even possibly driving them to other characters.

Recently, Luna’s actress Lisa Yamada spoke with Soap Opera Digest on what this twist could mean for the character. As the publication noted, this could erupt as various characters, including Luna herself, learn the truth.

As the publication noted, some characters think it would be the best for Luna not to know who her father is. Despite this, she is determined to find who her father is. As Yamada noted, “I think she is pretty stubborn when she has set her sights on something…That’s why the murders happened.”

Lisa Yamada Was Asked About Upcoming Scenes With Jacqueline MacInnes Wood

“I think she is struggling with that deeply, and I don’t think that is something that she’s going to come to terms with, or going to give up, ever, until she finds out the truth. And you know what? Good for her! One thing about her, she’s not going to give up!”

Yamada was also asked about a viral dance collab she did with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy. She was asked upcoming scenes with her, particularly ones exploring the consequences of Luna’s actions. After all, last year saw Luna drug, imprison, and try to kill Steffy, little realizing she was her stepdaughter.

As the actress noted, “Oh, absolutely! Jacqui is such a powerhouse, I’m always excited and down to have scenes with her and I’m also excited to explore what the Finnegan/Nozawa dynamic is now. This is a messy web, and I’m excited to explore it.”

That said, since being release from prison, Luna does seem somewhat remorseful. Yamada also touched on this, noting, “Listen, if you murder someone, you’re a bad person. But I have a soft spot for Luna, obviously, because I have to be an advocate for her.”

“I feel like she’s been through a lot — but I don’t totally want to [commit to the idea] that she’s no longer crazy and is in her redemption era. I definitely think there’s a little bit of crazy to her still, and that’s what makes her fun.”
