‘ABP’ Bear Brown Gives Update On Ami’s Serious Condition
Alaskan Bush People fans were panicking this week when Bear Brown announced that Ami Brown was hospitalized. The Brown family had moved to Washington because of Ami’s cancer battle. There were no hospitals in good proximity to them in Alaska, and they needed to be somewhere that she could get immediate attention.
This makes her recent hospitalization worrisome. However, Bear just had a recent update that makes it sound like things might be improving for Ami. Here is what you need to know.
What Happened To Ami Brown?
Bear Brown announced that his mother, Ami, was rushed to the hospital. She was placed on a breathing tube, and he asked for fans to send prayers for his mother during this tough time. What scared Bear the most was that the hospital had to put Ami under to put in the breathing tube, and she remained out for a long time.
Raiven also posted that it was scary being on a ventilator, and she asked for prayers for her mother-in-law as well. Bear then returned with another update, and he said that they were unable to get the breaking tube out of his mother, and this made him more worried.
As long as she was attached, she was unconscious, and the siblings had no idea what was happening and what the future help. However, on Thursday, Bear was back with some more news, which he called a “major mom update.”
Bear Brown With Great News About Ami In Hospital
Bear Brown said that they were unable to get the breathing tube out on Wednesday night, so they had to wait until Thursday to try again. He said the good news was that they got the tube out on Thursday, and Ami woke up. This was great news for Bear and the rest of the family (via Instagram).

He said this was a stressful moment. Bear wanted to thank all the fans for their prayers and concerns. He said that she is on the mend and that she is able to talk on the phone with them, and things are looking better now.
Ami Brown, 67, complained about chest pain and breathing issues. That is when the family had her airlifted to a Washington hospital. She was then placed in a medically induced coma so her “body can rest.” The doctors inserted a breathing tube to help her.
Ami previously battled lung cancer, where she was given a three-percent survival rate. She moved from Alaska to Washington and beat cancer. According to reports, she is now fighting pneumonia. Birdie Brown was with her mom at the hospital.
