Tarek El Moussa Reveals Blunder That Almost Ended His Marriage
HGTV stars Heather and Tarek El Moussa have a strong, loving relationship on camera. But every once in a while, they too share their experience of hiccups.
In a recent Instagram clip, Tarek admitted he once made a serious mistake that almost cost him his entire relationship. What happened?
Tarek El Moussa Called His Wife The Wrong Name Once
Right now, the El Moussas are starring in a competition-style show against Tarek’s first wife, Christina Haack. They share two children together and have a great coworking relationship.
But even so, trouble brews when the women accidentally get called by the wrong name. And in Tarek’s case, it nearly spelled disaster.
While working on a renovation project, it seems that one of the El Moussa’s contractors accidentally called Heather by Christina’s name. No one captured the exact moment on camera, but Tarek immediately grabbed his phone to record the aftermath.
“Anyone know of good contractors…we might need a new one after this…👀 JK we love you Bryan 😂 #TheFlipOff” Tarek captioned the new Instagram post, attaching the footage in question.

“What did Bryan just call you honey?” Tarek asks his wife from behind the camera.
“Christina!” Heather exclaims. Tarek jokes with Bryan the contractor, who confirms he did make the mistake.
“Oh sh*t, I did that one time. I’m lucky to be alive,” the HGTV star laughs.
“I’m sure you’ve done it more than one time,” Bryan replies.
“No just once,” Tarek admits. “It was more than enough.”
“Beginning of our relationship,” Heather chimes in. “And he got cut. Bryan, get ready later.”
Instagram Users Love The Playful Dynamic Between The Couple
Many divorced couples struggle to co-parent, but HGTV fans agree that Christina Haack and the El Moussas seem to have truly found their stride. Since Christina and Heather bear such a striking resemblance to one another, many viewers admit they could see how the mistake happened.
But what viewers truly loved was how good-natured Heather was in the video. In the comments, many Instagram users wrote that they found the situation hilarious. They fawned over Heather’s grace over the situation and how she even cracked jokes about it.
