Ryan Sutter Feels Helpless, Pleads For Help For His Mom
Bachelorette alum Ryan Sutter went to social media to share some personal information about his family. In doing so, he admitted to feeling helpless at the moment. He also pleaded for someone to step up and help his mother. What did Ryan have to say? Keep reading to find out all the details.
Ryan Sutter Asks For Someone To Step Up And Help His Mother
Ryan Sutter went to Instagram to share an emotional post about his mother. The photo he chose to use is of him in his firefighting uniform looking away from the camera. He revealed that he had been watching the Super Bowl by himself. He shared that his parents were supposed to be there with him enjoying the big game. However, they were not there because he said the medical system was failing his mother.
Ryan continued on to explain what was happening to his mom. He shared that she has Parkinson’s disease. She also recently broke her femur which required a full hip replacement. Both conditions require consistent physical therapy. Any complication can impact not being able to attend those physical therapy sessions. This happened to his mom.
Ryan continued to explain,
“A painful complication not only prevents her from completing her PT, it has made it impossible for her to leave the house or even really her bed. The complication is easily solved through a routine surgery but, despite the constant discomfort, effect on her overall health and recovery,and notes from urgent care doctors (she’s been multiple times), her @kaiserpermanente doctors simply couldn’t find a time sooner than a month out to provide the surgery.”
Ryan went on to say that a month is too long for her to wait and it feels like an eternity. He said he feels completely helpless so he decided to reach out to fans and share his message. He is hoping it will help his mom.
Imagine Calling 911 And Nobody Comes To Help
Ryan Sutter went on to say that if someone were to call 911, they would get help almost immediately. They would not be told the ambulance would arrive in about a month.
Ryan is a firefighter and is always rushing to help people when he can. He said when someone calls 911 there is help on the way within a minute. He said the person would be well trained, compassionate and paid way less than most doctors. Ryan continued saying he doesn’t understand how the doctors can knowingly allow someone to sit suffer. He said he took an oath to serve and so he does.
Ryan also said, “Doctors take an oath too – the Hippocratic oath – first do no harm. Maybe they’ve forgotten? Maybe they don’t care? Maybe they should remember. Maybe they should care.”
He concludes his post by begging someone to come and help his mom. Ryan said, “This is me desperate to help my mom. This is me not knowing what else to do. This is me dialing 911 and hoping someone comes…”
He also added a #mom to his message.
