Now that Hearties have met Melissa Gilbert’s character Georgie McGill in WCTH Season 12, Episode 6 “When Autumn Leaves Begin To Fall,” they may want to know what is next. The Little House On The Prairie star has shared her wishes as well as whether she would like to return to the Hallmark series.
In Recent WCTH Episode Sparks Fly Between Melissa Gilbert And Jack Wagner’s Characters
On Saturday, Hallmark premiered the most recent WCTH Season 12 episode a day early due to the Super Bowl. This is a very special episode as this is the introduction to Georgie McGill, Bill Avery’s unrequited love. According to Entertainment Weekly, Melissa Gilbert shared that Georgie is a forensic accounting investigator for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Moreover, she and Jack Wagner’s Bill Avery went to school together.
In the episode, while they embark by train en route to a jailed suspect, they talk about their time in school. They soon learn that they each had a crush on the other. However, neither acted on their feelings. However, they start to find that those feelings are back. It is as if time stood still.
Melissa Gilbert Loves The Romance For Older Couple
One of the reasons so many people love this romance between Bill Avery and Georgie McGill is that this is a couple in their 60s. This sort of romance is rarely shown and is a first for WCTH. Melissa Gilbert loves it and wants to see this explored further. Moreover, her two-episode arc is not going to be enough to see this romance fully blossom. She has shared that she would like to return and explore this relationship further.
She would be a welcome presence on the Hallmark series. Georgie McGill brings a set of skills that would encourage the series’s writers to make more interesting mysteries, especially now that Elizabeth has chosen her latest beau.

When Does Melissa Gilbert Return To WCTH?
When does Melissa Gilbert return for her second episode of WCTH Season 12? That is not clear. The next episode synopsis reads, “Elizabeth and Nathan’s date night unexpectedly leads to an undercover operation at a glamorous party. Lucas and Edie grow closer over cards. Rosemary holds auditions for a play.”
Therefore, it does not appear that Melissa Gilbert will be part of this episode. Georgie McGill is not mentioned. It seems more likely that she will be featured in a later episode, as this case begins to close.
