‘Naked And Afraid’ Double Amputee Has ‘Died Three Times’
Naked and Afraid is coming back with a brand-new season in March. This season features a first for the show. A woman named Mandy is appearing on the reality TV series. What makes her unique is that she is a double amputee. However, that has never held her back, and she is out to prove she can compete with anyone on the show.

Naked And Afraid Double Amputee Speaks Out
Mandy is one of the new cast members this season on Naked and Afraid on the Discovery Channel. The new season will hit on March 9 and will see Mandy introduced to the world as the reality series’ first double amputee. According to Mandy, this happened 10 years ago.
“Ten years ago, my life was changed forever,” Mandy said (via PEOPLE). “I have died three times and came back from that.” Mandy was in a terrible accident that caused her to have to have both legs amputated. However, she said that she has never let that hold her down.
After the accident 20 years ago, when she lost both legs, she became the first female bilateral amputee to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. With that accomplishment, it seems that Naked and Afraid should be a walk in the park for the young woman.
She says that her message to the world is that there is life after “the unimaginable.” She went on to say, “My motto is: tell me that I can’t, and I will show you that I can. I get to be the first person on Naked and Afraid with no f—-ing legs, and I think that’s pretty damn cool.”
What Will Happen In Naked And Afraid’s New Season?
This season, Mandy will be part of a group of survivalists who have to survive a remote jungle and dense rainforest in Belize for 21 days. She said she had reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Now, this is her “Everest.”
Mandy will work with her partner Johnny, who she met for the first time at the start of the challenge. They have to endure this locale with no food, no water, no clothes, and only one item of their choosing to use on their journey.
Naked and Afraid premieres Sunday, March 9, at 8 p.m. ET on Discovery Channel. Two new episodes air that first night. The show will also be available to stream the next day on Max and Discovery+.

what happened to the man that Roofied Mandy? I hope he is in prison
This show was dumb. What is her point in being on the show. If she ever got in any real danger the show employees would be there to rescue her. It not like she did anything to help in her survival. She could not build the shelter. She would have been out of luck had a flood occured, she was basically a prop for the show to get clicks.
Mandy should concentrate on getting on with her life not “inspiring” us by doing useless things. Hard things yes, but always with somebody there to rescue her if things go bad.
This reminds me of those people who climb Everest with no training but tons of support from sherpas and guides.
