‘Swamp People’ Shocking Amount Cast Paid Per Episode Revealed

On Swamp People, viewers have seen the titular alligator hunters brave the swamps on the History Channel series for years. Over the years, fans often wonder about the everyday lives of these alligator hunters. Recently, fans are starting to speculate just how much they earn each episode.
Alligator Hunting Is Often A Seasonal Job On Swamp People
The History Channel series first came out in 2010 and details alligator hunters along the Atchafalaya River Basin. More often than not, gator hunting is a family business, with the cast coming from a long line of hunters.
Over the years, fans have occasionally seen the cast members welcome their own family members onto the show. Added to this, some cast members are share more of their lives with fans on social media.

In general, the alligator hunting profession is a seasonal one. Often, the season can only last 30 days. For some alligator hunters, this is how some earn their yearly income.

For others however, their income is supplemented with other jobs. These hunters sometimes work with fishing or dealing with other wildlife, from fish to raccoons. Other alligator hunters have jobs in other fields.

According to Salary.com, “In the United States, alligator hunters typically earn an average hourly wage of $14.30. Their pay rates can vary based on factors such as experience level, seasonal or year-round work, and their employer. Some alligator hunters may earn as little as $7.25 per hour, while others can make as much as $21.60 per hour.”
However, it was noted that the cast of Swamp People aren’t quite the typical alligator hunters, at least when it comes to their salaries. As it was explained, “The cast of the History channel show Swamp People are among the highest-paid alligator hunters, earning at least $10,000 per episode, with some making as much as $25,000 per episode. On average, each cast member of the show earns around $30,000 per month when filming a season.”
It’s also noteworthy that the cast members of Swamp People do change over the years. At this time, there are hunters who appeared since the first season. Others joined in later years. Quite a few have even taken intervals. This likely does impact just how much each cast member likely earns on the show.
