Ozzy Osbourne has been making headlines following his Parkinson’s diagnosis. His spouse, Sharon Osbourne, recently shared an update over her husband Ozzy’s condition. In addition, details have come out about Ozzy’s upcoming final concert.

Ozzy Osbourne Will Team Up With Black Sabbath Bandmates

Ozzy Osbourne first rose to prominence as the lead singer and founding member of the heavy metal band, Black Sabbath. In the early 2000s, Ozzy and members of his family later became reality television stars through the reality series, The Osbournes.

In 2020, Ozzy publicly revealed he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. The heavy metal singer received the diagnosis the year beforehand.

As noted by The U.S. Sun, Ozzy has announced his final concert. According to the publication, it was promised to be “the greatest heavy metal show ever.”

Ozzy will perform with Black Sabbath at Villa Park this July 5. However, the show will be a challenge for Ozzy, as his health concerns have rendered him unable to walk.

Ozzy’s wife and manager Sharon, herself a prominent TV personality, teamed up with Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi to announce the show. It will be titled, “Back To The Beginning.” In addition to Black Sabbath, they will be joined by Metallica, Slayer, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Pantera, Anthrax and Alice in Chains.

Ozzy will also reunite with the original Black Sabbath line-up. In addition to Iommi, this also includes Geezer Butler and Bill Ward. This will be their first full reunion since 20 years.

For his part, Iommi shared, “We certainly haven’t seen all of us together for a long time. I mean, I stay in touch with Oz and occasionally Geezer, but never Bill. So I don’t even know what Bill does these days.”

One Famous Rapper Reportedly Won’t Be At The Concert

In a statement, Sharon talked about Ozzy amid his diagnosis. She shared, “He’s very happy to be coming back and very emotional about this. Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilize.

Sharon continued, “It affects different parts of the body and it’s affected his legs.” However, she assured, “But his voice is as good as it’s ever been.”

Reportedly, one person who won’t be at the concert is Kanye West. Allegedly, the star came under fire for sampling Black Sabbath’s song “Iron Man” on his Vultures album, despite previously being denied permission to sample the song.

As the publication noted, Ozzy himself recently spoke on his Sirius XM radio show as he plans a move back to the U.S. Talking about his condition, he noted, “I have made it to 2025. I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive.”

“I may be moaning that I can’t walk but I look down the road and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me and didn’t make it.”

Tickets for the event will go on sale on February 14. Profits will be shared with Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the Acorn Children’s Hospice.
