Ginger Zee Fans Blast ‘Creepy’ Wardrobe Comment
Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee has always been proud of her eco-friendly wardrobe. She tells fans what she is doing with her clothing and enjoys hearing from fans who comment on her alterations to outfits to make them last while seeming different. However, when one fan complimented her, others called him a “creeper.”
Here is what happened with Ginger this week, thanks to her reusable outfit.
Fan Compliments Ginger Zee’s Eco-Friendly Clothing
Ginger Zee is proud that she is eco-friendly when it comes to wearing her outfits on TV. Zee has told fans that she hasn’t bought anything but used clothing for over two years. She also takes her clothes and alters them to seem different while not needing to spend money on new clothes.
“Almost 2.5 years and still on the #nonewclothes train- most weeks I focus on utilizing my closet, sometimes I rent to spice it up,” Ginger said last November. She said she loves fashion but has learned a lot about “the psychology of consumption.” She then said that she likes to help spread the word to fans so they can learn more about what she is doing.
This week, one fan noticed what Ginger did with a recent outfit. The fan wrote:
- “See wat u did with that dress. It’s one u wore many times but this time bottom portion un buttoned to accommodate boots. It’s almost like a new dress. Love that u did that. I fact u shud wear that dress like that more often boots or heels.”
However, while this was a man commenting on it, some other fans called him out as a “creeper.”
- “I think it’s kinda creepy that @JohnT39736927 is commenting on your clothing choices. Or any woman’s clothing choices. Unless it’s his wife or daughter, and then I hope they stand up for what they like.”
- “Omg, I thought the same thing.”
Ginger Zee Didn’t Take Offense At All
While these random Internet commenters felt the man noticing Ginger Zee’s ec-friendly outfit was “creepy,” Ginger didn’t feel that way at all. As a matter of fact, she responded to the man with a considerate response.

“Yes! I’ve worn this one many times and just make little modifications to make it feel new,” Ginger excitedly said in response. Ginger is very proud of her eco-friendly choices, and for a fan to notice it is very exciting for her as she seeks to spread the message.
