Does The Super Bowl Logo Prove The NFL Is Rigged?

Super Bowl 2025 takes place this weekend. The Kansas City Chiefs battle the Philadelphia Eagles to determine the new NFL champion. However, fans have developed a conspiracy theory over the past few years suggesting the NFL rigs its seasons. The theory revolves around the game’s logo each year.

Here is what some fans think proves the NFL rigs its championship game every season.

Super Bowl Logo Spoils Final Teams In NFL?

The Super Bowl 2025 logo has two colors in it – red and green. The two teams playing this year match those colors. The Kansas City Chiefs look to win their third in a row (the first time in history it could happen). Their team color is red. The Philadelphia Eagles team colors are green.

The NFL released the logo for Super Bowl 2025 in February 2024, after the last one ended. Conspiracy theorists claim that the NFL has already planned for the Eagles and Chiefs to play in this year’s big game. While this is undoubtedly a coincidence, these theorists claim it has happened more than once.

The logo was orange and yellow in 2022. That year, the Cincinnati Bengals (orange) and Los Angeles Rams (yellow) played in the championship game. In 2023, the Eagles and Chiefs played, and the design featured red and green. The logo in 2024 featured red and purple colors. Both teams wear red uniforms (the 49ers and Chiefs).

The conspiracy theory indicates that the Super Bowl logo – designed before the offseason and NFL Draft takes place – predicts the teams to play the next year (via PEOPLE).

What To Know About Super Bowl Logo Theory

The NFL Super Bowl logo theory started in 2022. This was when the colors seemingly matched the Rams and Bengals. While it seemed like a coincidence, the next year’s red and green solidified many fans’ thoughts that the NFL was rigging the seasons to produce the games it wanted.

Several fans “debunked” the theory in 2024 when neither team wore purple. Now, with the colors green and red again, the conspiracy theorists are running wild again. Of course, the green in the logo is nowhere near the same color as the Eagles’ uniforms, but fans remain convinced.

This is the Kansas City Chiefs’ third Super Bowl in a row. No team has ever won more than two in a row, and the Chiefs could become the first in history to achieve this. It would also be their fourth Super Bowl win in six seasons, rivaling even the New England Patriots years of dominance.

This is the Philadelphia Eagles’ fifth Super Bowl appearance, although they have only won the big game once (2017).
