‘The View’ Sara Haines Cries During Michael Strahan Interview

Michael Strahan made a special appearance in The View on Friday. While Strahan has been missing from Good Morning America this week, he has been touring and promoting his daughter’s upcoming docuseries about her cancer journey. It was enough to make Sara Haines cry as she listened to the story.
Here is what Michael had to say about the docuseries and why Sara was so emotional.
Michael Strahan Makes Sara Haines Cry
Micahel Strahan has been promoting his daughter’s upcoming docuseries. Life Interrupted: Isabella Strahan’s Fight Against Cancer tells the story of Isabella Strahan’s cancer battle. Isabella was starting college as a freshman at USC when she developed headaches and learned she had cancer.

Isabella underwent chemotherapy and had to have surgeries, with holes drilled into her head to release fluids. It was a terrifying year for the teenager and her family. Now, she is sharing her story with fans on ABC with the docuseries where she, Michael, her twin sister Sophia, and more tell their story.
As Strahan explained the idea of the docuseries, The Voice host Sara Haines shared a little about what she knows about the situation.
“Isabella’s first brain surgery left her having to relearn how to walk, talk, and even eat on her own. She then went through a month of daily radiation, chemotherapy,” Sarra said on the episode (via Entertainment Weekly). “[It shows] the pain of a parent watching your child feel uncomfortable — and so few of us deal with this type of pain. You’re going to make me cry.”
Michael Strahan Has Never Watched Daughter’s Cancer Vlog
This interview also led to a shocking admission by Michael Strahan. He told Sara Haines that he never watched any of Isabella’s vlogs. While this docuseries will give many people the first chance to see anything about the battle, Isabella kept a vlog on YouTube that kept people up-to-date on her struggle.
“I have not watched one vlog that she’s done,” Michael surprisingly said. Isabella wants to be a voice for people with cancer, and her vlog is part of that. However, as her dad, Micahel couldn’t bring himself to watch it. That also includes this upcoming docuseries, even though he was part of it.
“I don’t even know if I’ll watch this documentary, even though I participated and answered questions for it,” he said. “It’s just too hard for me to watch, to relive it.” Michael said he felt “hopeless” and “helpless” as his daughter fought for her life. “You’re just a father who knows nothing more than to fix what you can for your kids. I can’t fix this.”
