Beth Chapman Refused Medical Treatment Amid Cancer Return

Beth Chapman and Duane “Dog” Chapman are a well-known couple from Dog The Bounty Hunter. Beth’s cancer journey was caught on their reality TV show, and Duane was her number-one supporter through everything. Once her cancer came back Beth Chapman gave up trying her medical treatment, but why? Keep reading to find out.
Beth Went Into Remission
Duane “Dog” Chapman and his late wife, Beth Chapman, became well-known through their reality TV shows, Dog the Bounty Hunter and Dog and Beth: On the Hunt. The couple became famous for their work as bounty hunters, capturing fugitives and bringing them to justice. Their TV shows were a big success, airing for several years on A&E and CMT. However, their lives took a difficult turn in September of 2017 when Beth was diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer. Although she was diagnosed Beth continued to be in the show for a while longer. In the beginning, once Beth was in recovery she had said ” Part of me feels it’s hard to believe that I had it, part of me thinks it’s hard to believe it’s gone.”
Beth’s journey was shown on TV through a special called Dog & Beth: Fight of Their Lives, which gave viewers a glimpse into the challenges the Chapmans were facing. The reality star spoke openly about her struggles, explaining how she didn’t want to lose her hair and appearance due to the chemotherapy. Her daughter, Bonnie Chapman, also talked about how hard it was to watch her mother go through the treatment. Bonnie shared that her mom hated chemotherapy because it made her feel uncomfortable and self-conscious. Despite this, she tried it because many people encouraged her to.

Duane Chapman Supported Beth Til The End
Duane was a constant support for Beth, always reminding her how beautiful she was, even as she lost her hair. Bonnie praised her father for being strong and loving throughout the process. “He just loved her so much, and I’m really proud of him for sticking with her until the very last moments,” she said.
Beth Chapman’s fight was also featured on Dog’s Most Wanted, a show that followed Duane and his team of bounty hunters. However, it was a tough experience for Bonnie to watch, knowing hoe fragile her family was at the time.

Sadly, Beth Chapman passed away on June 26, 2019, at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her death was a devastating loss for her family. But her strength and the love she shared with Duane and their children continue to inspire many. How do you feel about Beth refusing her medical treatment?
