‘Teen Mom’ Amber Portwood Goes On Hysterical Meltdown

Amber Portwood of Teen Mom fame recently took to social media where she discussed recent critics. In the live video, she even began addressing commenters directly. Since its release, the video has been a topic of discussion among fans on social media.
Amber Portwood Claimed That She Was ‘Petrified’ In The Video
Portwood is a native of Anderson, Indiana. She first came to prominence through the reality series, 16 and Pregnant back in 2009. She later appeared in the spin-off, Teen Mom.
Fans have often kept update with Portwood and her life through social media. Taking to Reddit, one fan shared a live video for other fans “who don’t have TikTok.”

In the video, Portwood could be seen crying and discussed various issues in her life. She opened up, “Why am I crying? Because I’m petrified. I’m petrified. I gave up half my life for you guys to be saying this awful s*** about me. I thought you guys were f****** smarter than that. Really?”
Portwood then denied being “high,” “manic,” or “anything.” She then shared, “I’m talking to you guys for real. I never gave my kids up. I fought.”
After reading some less than sympathetic comments on the Live, Portwood asked, “What’s wrong with you? Is this what you want? Is this what you f****** want? You know the pain I went through when I had my children gone? You know what pain that is? It’s death.”
As previously reported, the father of Portwood’s daughter Leah, Gary Shirley, ended up getting custody of the girl. He ended up marrying another, Kristina, and the two had a daughter together. Back in 2023, news had also come out that Amber lost custody of her son, James.
“I survived fentanyl! Like the mental health issues I have. It’s so f***** up! Are you guys serious? You dare speak to me like that?”
Some Fans Suggested Portwood Take A Break From Social Media
As the video was reaching it’s end, Portwood shared, “Look, we’ve got 12,000 people watching because I’m crying. But why do I have to get on here? Ater all of these years of being on television. And say facts?”
As seen in the live stream, many commenters were not too sympathetic to Portwood’s comments. One commenter posted, for example, “Thank God for the kids’ father.”
On Reddit, many fans shared similar sentiments. Others were more sympathetic towards Amber, all the while suggesting she should leave social media. Some comments included:
- “Has anyone actually gotten respect for yelling, crying, and demanding people respect them?”
- “She’s trying so hard to push tears out, I can’t.”
- “So she didn’t earn hundreds of thousands from the show and book deals?”
- “Why does she care what these random people think of her? Who cares. Get off-line & go live your life. You’re not 15 anymore!!”
- “I really wish she would get help or better help. She is missing out and her children’s lives. Poor Leah has already been to hell and back.”
- “I agree that it doesn’t make sense for random strangers to be harassing her more on the internet. I also agree she should get rid of social media all together. Social media is so toxic and childish.”
