Rachael Kirkconnell Opens Up About First Split, Cheating Claims
Everyone was waiting for Rachael Kirkconnell to break her silence about her split with Bachelor Matt James. She decided to do so by appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper. During the podcast, Rachael talked about their relationship from the beginning days up until their split two weeks ago that rocked Bachelor Nation. One thing she did talk about was the first time she and Matt called it quits. Plus, she addressed cheating claims from way back then up until now. What did she share? Rachael Kirkconnell Talks First Matt James Breakup
Rachael Kirkconnell appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast to get the truth out there about what really led to the big breakup between her and Matt James. Along with talking about their time together on The Bachelor, Rachael also talked about that controversial time following the show when she was accused of racism and she and Matt took a break.
After he broke up with her and the whole world saw it on After the Final Rose, it wasn’t long before they were seen together in New York. At that time, a woman named Grace reached out to Reality Steve wanting to get in touch with Rachael because Matt had been trying to hook up with her.
Looking back on it, she felt manipulated by James. While he may have been seeing Grace, he and Rachael were broken up during that time. Rachael said,
“I was very, very, very upset when I found everything out, and I just remember telling him that he lied to me. I just remember storming out of his place, and I was like, ‘Don’t ever talk to me again, like, we’re done,’ because I just found out a lot of stuff all at once. I just was definitely a little bamboozled.”
Rachael and Matt reunited when he went to Georgia. The two sat in her car and talked for six hours.
She Never Had To Worry About Him Cheating
Rachael Kirkconnell also shared that she never had to worry about him cheating. She reiterated to Alex Cooper that Matt is not a cheater. Even if he was with another girl it was when they were apart so she couldn’t really consider that cheating.
In the end, Matt ended their relationship for a final time when he realized that he should want to propose to her after four years. He also came to the realization that she has some qualities he doesn’t see in his future wife.
