Unmistakably, Hoda Kotb can’t stay away from the action. While she is taking on new responsibilities, her life with The Today Show isn’t over. In an interview with Page Six, Hoda let fans know she plans to be a “supporting character” on the team already in place. Specifically, Hoda will be returning to Today approximately every four to six weeks. Furthermore, she estimates she will appear approximately ten times per year on the show. She says it will be “just a little something” to keep her in the loop and in touch with the audience. Likewise, fans will see her back with Jenna Bush Hager during the fourth hour among her rotating guest list on Jenna & Friends.

In addition to the scheduled special appearances, Hoda Kotb will assist the team by having a “Snoopish” type role as well. Much like Snoop Dogg, Hoda will travel as a special correspondent to cover events such as the Olympics. Within her deal, she will be part of the crew heading to Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Additionally, she will continue with her Making Space podcast as well. Furthermore, her sweet deal comes with better hours, more pay potential, and the availability to pursue what feeds her soul.

Space To Breathe

Admittedly, Hoda Kotb cried so much she had to purposely rehydrate during her exit. However, Hoda doesn’t regret her decision. She knows that her top priority is raising her daughters, Haley and Hope. But when she made her new deal, it also gave her the option to build a new business revolving around wellness. Part of that picture for her is to be present more with her kiddos. She wants to savor the days she can walk her kids to school. Additionally, she is ready for more road trips and the spontaneity to take off for Summer and Winter Breaks with her girls. But more than that, she understands the world is far more stressful than people deserve. She wants to help guide others to find peace and calm amid a chaotic life.

Notably, she initially thought wellness practices were “woo woo,” but they have deeply improved her life and she wants to share. Hoda Kotb talked about it with Good Housekeeping, “I want to create an app, something that helps and is affordable and accessible. Most of this stuff you can do for free — you just need someone to show you how.” Furthermore, her new venture gives her the best of all worlds: Time with family, freedom to explore new ventures, and connection to her NBC family with her frequent returns.

Hoda Kotb Is Embracing The Next Chapter

In an exit interview with Marie Claire, Hoda Kotb expresses why she needed to leave. In many ways, it didn’t make sense to leave something she loved so much. But she said, “NBC has been my longest relationship of any I’ve ever had. I wanted to see what kind of possibilities were available to me beyond this incredible job.” Furthermore, she acknowledges, “We’re all doing things because we think we should, or maybe it sounds good, or our parents wanted us to. But at the end of the day, you really have to find your thing.”

What do you think about Hoda Kotb’s new role with NBC? Are you glad to see she will be sticking around for future events? Are you missing her in her usual job at The Today Show? Drop your comments below.
