‘Married At First Sight’ Star Jamie Otis Can’t Tell Her Babies Apart

Jamie Otis and her husband Doug Hehner are having a difficult time being able to tell their newborn twins apart. While they think they have some distinguishes, Doug says one of his babies looks like an elf. The couple also said that after the babies they are now done having kids.

Despite the joy of having twins, Jamie and Doug are unsure if they’ll expand their family further. Doug is firm in his decision to stop at four children, stating, “I’m a ‘no’ for no more kids.” Jamie, however, isn’t ready to completely rule out the possibility of having more children, joking that she’s learned to never say never. Giving Otis’s background a big family is something she has thought about often, and she would not mind having.

Otis has always wanted twins since her younger siblings were twins. They were both excited and nervous when she learned she was expecting two babies. Having previously experienced several miscarriages, Jamie admitted the pregnancy was emotionally challenging, but she remained hopeful. She shared on Instagram that she kept praying for two healthy babies and she found comfort in the thought that “God’s in charge.” Jamie and Doug’s journey has had its struggles, but they’re clearly overjoyed to welcome their growing family.

Mixed Up Twins

Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner, stars of Married at First Sight, recently shared how they tell their identical twin sons apart. The couple welcomed Hawkins Tyler and Huxley James in September 2024, and in a YouTube Q&A video posted on January 24, 2025, they gave fans a glimpse into their parenting life with newborns. Despite the twins looking nearly identical, Jamie and Doug have learned to spot a few key differences. Jamie explained that Hawkins has a small red spot on his nose, which has become their main identifying feature. Doug pointed out that Huxley’s ears are more pointed, and Hawkin’s ears are more rounded. Jamie also added that Huxley has a red mark on the back of his leg, which further helps them tell the boys apart.

Though the twins are still difficult to tell apart. Especially as Hawkins gains weight and his face becomes rounder like Huxley’s. The couple has grown to look for the small details that tell the twins apart. The twins are the couple’s third and fourth children, joining their older siblings, Henley, who was born in 2017, and Hendrix, born in 2020.
