Christina Haack Relieved After Josh Hall Removed From Filming
As HGTV fans mourn the end of Christina in the Country, they’re also celebrating Christina Haack’s newest show, The Flip Off. But more than anything, the designer feels relieved she no longer has to film with her ex-husband, Josh Hall.
The initial concept of The Flip Off was a competition show between two couples. But the Halls’ divorce last summer threw a wrench into plans. Shortly after going public with their split, Christina Haack resumed filming the series as a single woman.
In a new interview, she shared her true feelings about the filming experience without Josh Hall.
Christina Haack Knows She Can Compete Better Without Josh Hall
Over the past week, Christina Haack has made some major changes in her life. Most notably, she legally ditched the last name “Hall” and could officially start using the name “Haack” again.
But as the premiere of The Flip Off nears, fans want to know how the celebrity designer felt about the process.
Christina Haack and the El Moussas recently appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show to discuss filming. More than anything, the trio wanted to emphasize that they show still works with just the three of them.
“It was originally two vs two, and now it’s two vs one,” Jennifer addresses the situation. “So Christina, … you appear with your husband, now the ex-husband, in the first episode. … So what is that like?”
Right away, Christina had an answer.
“So much easier without anybody else bothering me,” the celebrity designer laughed. “I don’t have to ask approval from anyone, no one’s weighing me down.”
The audience erupted into applause.
“I think I have an advantage,” Christina proudly declared.

Tarek & Heather El Moussa Describe Their Love For Their Costar
Although the divorce has been incredibly difficult to navigate, Tarek and Heather El Moussa have supported Christina Haack throughout. They spoke to Us Weekly about the filming process and how everything came perfectly together.
“After the first time we were on camera together she texts me and she’s like, ‘You’re so fun to film with,’ and I’m like ‘Oh, you too!’ It was great!” Heather shared in the interview. She went on to describe how the women enjoy picking on Tarek and bonding while creating the show.
Josh Hall will appear in the first episode of The Flip Off, which was filmed prior to the split. But he reportedly won’t have any involvement moving forward.
