True Crime Doc On Gabby Petito’s Murder Comes To Netflix

Nearly three and a half years since budding influencer Gabby Petito lost her life, many remain troubled by her case. Since then, many networks have made documentaries about her murder. From 20/20 to Lifetime, several major players in the television world wanted the chance to tell her story.
Now, streaming giant Netflix will put out its own series about Gabby’s last days.
Netflix Documents Gabby Petito’s Final Days
By now, many are familiar with Gabby Petito’s story. She and her fiance Brian Laundrie wanted to travel across the country in a van, documenting their exciting adventures for their social media audience.
Online, the couple seemed to be happy and in love. They couldn’t wait to start their lives together as they built their social media brand.
Sadly, not everything was as pleasant as Gabby and Brian made them out to be onscreen.

In August, police intervened after receiving reports of the young couple getting violent with one another. But after briefly separating the couple, nothing was ultimately done. Shortly after, Gabby Petito lost her life.
Brian Laundrie returned to his home in Florida alone, sparking widespread panic and the investigation into Gabby’s disappearance. Searchers found her remains in mid September, which promptly launched a nation-wide manhunt for Brian Laundrie. He was later found deceased.
“While taking viewers on a journey through Gabby and Brian’s final days together, the series will unveil the tragic reality behind their Insta-perfect life and reveal painful moments where their story might have taken a different turn,” Netflix’s official press release reveals.
Viewers Shudder As They Recall The Case That Dominated Headlines For Weeks
Netflix plans to debut the new series in mid-February. But for now, interested subscribers can catch a glimpse of it in the trailer. The series seems to feature accounts from those closest to the couple, including family members.
“Gabby and Brian seemed like a loving couple, but behind the scenes, they would get into arguments,” a voiceover in the trailer says. “Brian thought the vlog was stupid. The happiest people on social media usually have the darkest skeletons in their closet.”
