‘Duck Dynasty’ Si Robertson Rushed To ER After Freak Hunting Accident
Duck Dynasty fans have come to know Si Robertson as “Uncle Si.” However, the TV personality has recently gotten into an accident that landed him in the emergency room. The incident notably came out around the time a revival of the series had been announced.
The Story Was Recounted On The Duck Call Room Podcast
On the series, Silas Merritt “Si” Robertson is the brother of Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson. Considered a breakout cast member on the show, Si is also known as a veteran and a retired Duck Commander reed maker.
Over the years, his appearances on Duck Dynasty have led to other projects. He was notably the hos of the spin-off, Going Si-Ral. He also co-hosts the Duck Call Room podcast.
Recently, however, Si found himself rushed to a hospital following a hunting accident. According to The Independent, he reportedly fell down a muddy hill while out hunting.
Notably, news of the accident was shared by the Duck Call Room podcast. Si’s co-stars Justin Martin and Phillip McMillan were the ones to break the story.
Martin shared that they were returning to a boathouse following a hunting trip in Arkansas. Robertson is believed to have fallen on the muddy hill while exiting the vessel. At the time, he landed on his oxygen tank.
As Martin noted, “Typical Silas Robertson, he’s in a dang hurry to get out of the boat and up the steep hill.” He continued, “He fell trying to get out of the boat. He fell on his oxygen machine but he bounced right back up.”
Martin noted, “He didn’t want anybody to see that he fell. But he was covered in mud.”
Uncle Si’s Co-Stars Got Worried When He Started To Get Quiet
However, Martin quickly became worried when he realized Si was strangely quiet. As he put it, Si’s lack of “stories” was “another red flag.”
McMillan added he was then contacted by family caretaker, who shared, “Si’s oxygen level’s really low. Take him now to the ER.” For his part, McMillan shared, “My heart just dropped.”
McMillan noted he hoped for the best: “I said, ‘What is going on?’ And I figured he would start laughing and talking. But no, he said, ‘Man, I’m in a lot of pain.’”
After being taken to the hospital, doctors discovered Si had suffered from some broken ribs. They also suspected some bruising. However, they attributed Si’s low oxygen levels to a panic attack.
Notably, the story comes out shortly after a reboot of the series, Duck Dynasty: The Revival, was recently announced for this upcoming summer. As previously reported, “Uncle Si” was expected to appear in the reboot. However, his brother Phil will not return.
