‘Suits: LA’ Spin-Off Releases Teaser Trailer, Details
Suits has just debuted a teaser trailer for its latest spin-off, Suits: L.A., in addition to a few other promotions. Viewers can expect a whole new cast of characters. In addition, a familiar face is also set to return on a recurring basis.
Suits: L.A. Is Suits‘ Second Spin-Off Series
The spin-off will feature new characters, but will still take place in the same universe as the original Suits. After all, the series boasts a West Coast setting while the original series took place in New York City.
Suits: L.A. is notably the original series’ second spin-off. Back in 2019, a spin-off based around Jessica Pearson, dubbed Pearson, came out, which lasted one season.
The original series ran for nine seasons, ending in 2019. However, it notably developed a larger fanbase when released to Netflix. The series notably garnered international attention for featuring actress Meghan Markle before her marriage to Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.
The original series followed Patrick J. Adams’ Mike Ross, who convinces an East Coast law firm to hire him in spite of dropping out of college. His photographic memory helps him as he works as an associate for attorney Harvey Specter.
For Suits: L.A., cast members include Stephen Amell, Bryan Greenberg, Josh McDermitt and Lex Scott Davis. However, at least one actor from the original Suits series is expected to appear in the new series.

According to Variety, Amell will play Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor who reinvents himself with new clients in L.A. The publication shared, “His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.”
The Show’s Instagram Page Even Came Up With A Special Promotion
“Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”
In addition, McDermitt will play Stuart Lane, who cofounds Black’s law firm. Davis and Greenberg will play employees at the firm, Erica Rollins and Rick Dodson respectively, who have something of a rivalry with each other.
Actor Gabriel Macht is set to reprise his role of Harvey Specter as a recurring character. Macht promoted his appearance on the spin-off on Instagram. At the time, he shared, “When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very ‘things’ right.”
The series has received quite a few promotions as of late. In addition to a trailer, the official NBC Suits Instagram also released a teaser video. The page also notably featured a Suits: L.A. logo as its profile image.
While the series was originally intended to film in Los Angeles, filming later switched to Vancouver. While the original series aired on the USA Network, the new series will air on NBC Sundays. The series will premiere on February 23, at 9 PM ET.
