Bindi Irwin Says She Has A Second Chance In Life

Bindi Irwin has been going through some tough times lately. She was diagnosed with endometriosis and believed her days of exploring and being active were over. That said, Bindi recently posted some great news on social media, and it sounds like she just achieved a great moment that shows she is recovering from her affliction.
Here is what Bindiu said she accomplished and how much it means for her.
Bindi Irwin Has Been Battling Endometriosis
Bindi Irwin and her brother Robert Irwin grew up in the spotlight. They are the children of the legendary Steve Irwin, who passed away when they were both young. However, Bindi has persevered and wanted to follow in her dad’s footsteps, which was halted for several reasons.

Bindi has started her own family and continues to work in conservation, but she revealed to fans that she was diagnosed with endometriosis. According to the World Health Organization, this is a “disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus.” This causes severe pain in the pelvis and can cause painful periods, pain during or after intercourse, fatigue, infertility, and more.
On Saturday, January 18, Bindi, 26, posted on social media that she enjoyed a “big hike” for the first time in several years. “A day spent hiking over 10 miles, across 3 mountains with my best friend,” she posted while sharing a picture of her and her husband, Chandler Powell.
“My first big hike in YEARS since endometriosis took away so much,” Bindi wrote. “I cried quite a few happy tears. Endless gratitude in my heart. @chandlerpowell – I’ll remember this day forever.”
Bindi also included several photos from the hike.

She said she could do a little more every day since the surgery. They found 37 lesions and removed a cyst on her ovary. “Being able to go for a walk with my daughter and not feeling like I have to throw up in the bushes is just wild to me,” she said. “I feel brand new.”
People flooded into her comments to praise her on her recovery:
- “So proud of you friend. Love seeing you thrive, you deserve it.”
- “Endo takes so much from us…but so inspiring that you conquered it and did something you love! You go girl!”
- “Absolutely love this, for so many reasons but especially seeing the freedom on your face hon.”
