Wendy Williams recently spoke out since the news of her health issues and guardianship has come to light. Recently, the TV personality also recently spoke with a source during a 90-minute conversation. The source also shed some light on what they believe Williams needs right now.
Charlamagne Tha God Was Also Involved In The 90-Minute Phone Call
Williams is known for her work as a radio DJ and TV personality, notably for hosting The Wendy Williams Show. In 2023, she left both the public life and broadcasting following being diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.
Recently, however, the star made headlines with she spoke with the radio show, The Breakfast Club. At the time, she compared her current situation to being in prison.

As noted by TMZ, Williams also recently had a phone call with TMZ Executive Producer Harvey Levin. Notably, the phone call lasted an hour and a half.
As the publication noted, Levin had trouble believing the person he was talking to was even under a guardianship. During their conversation, Williams was described as “lucid, articulate, opinionated and with it.”
Charlamagne Tha God was also said to be in on the call. Notably, Charlamagne Tha God was also involved with Williams’ recent conversation with The Breakfast Club.
Harvey Levin Also Suggested An Alternative For Williams’ Guardianship
Levin noted that this was an off-the-record conversation, meaning he didn’t want to get too into specifics on what happened. However, he noted, “I can tell you that the Wendy Williams that I spoke to today is the same Wendy Williams that I knew 10 years ago. There is no difference.”
Levin also noted that his views are similar to statements Charlamagne Tha God has made concerning Williams’ condition. He noted, “There was no lapse in her judgment.”

“There was no hesitation in what she was saying and, I’m not a doctor, but I am alarmed that Wendy Williams has had her freedom taken away from her. And I don’t understand exactly why.”
Levin noted that Williams has had trouble with substance abuse in the past. However, he felt she was clean while he was talking to her.
The TMZ EP even suggested an alternative to the guardianship he feels would allow Williams to have her freedom back. As he suggested, “Maybe let her out with a sober coach twenty-four seven and if that would solve any issue she has at least for now.”
TMZ also shared a clip of Levin’s comments on YouTube and Instagram. On the latter, fans took to the comments to share their support for Williams during this time:
- “Agreed! In The Breakfast club interview she was very much alert and aware!”
- “She can live in her home with caregivers and assistants. My mom had that same Illness and that’s what we did for her.”
- “So what could be done is the question, to basically save Wendy from this situation? The public, her fans, how could we help?”
