‘Shark Tank’ Lori Greiner Irate, Calls Out Contestant For Disrespect

Most Shark Tank participants are on their best behavior. Some feel they know more than the millionaires who are there to invest in the companies, and those people usually go home with no deal. However, one person came on the show and really angered Lori Greiner because of how he treated her during his presentation.
Here is what happened and why Lori was offended by the entire situation.
Lori Greiner Calls Out Shark Tank Contestant As Sexist
A man was on Shark Tank promoting a product called EZC Pak. This was a five-day immune support pack of echinacea, zinc, and vitamin C. The entire idea had Lori Grenier interested and possibly investing in the product. However, the man refused to answer her questions or even look at her during the presentation.

This caused Lori to feel he was dismissing her in favor of her male co-panelists. Lori started giving her feedback on the product and noticed Sarath Malepati was not looking at her. He continued only to address the male sharks. “You are kind of looking at me funny. Do you agree with what I am saying or not?” Lori asked him.
However, Sarath didn’t respond to her even then and kept talking to Mark Cuban. Lori became frustrated. “Well, wait a minute. Why are you ignoring what I am saying?” Greiner said. “That’s odd to me. I’m talking to you, and you are looking over at Mark. And I’m telling you I’m into it.”
Sarath then began to talk to Mark again. Finally, Lori exploded at the man. “Wait a minute. You know what, I’m just gonna finish,” Lori said. “I was the customer. I’ve been taking zinc for years, and I’m a believer in this, I’m the one talking about antibiotic resistance and how important it is. But the fact that when I am talking to you, you don’t even look at me, I’m out” (via Meaww).
The Other Shark Tank Sharks Took Up For Sarath
Sarath Malepati finally responded to her and apologized. However, Lori said how he treated her when she asked him questions was a significant issue for women in business. “I feel like you don’t respect me as a female sitting here,” she said.
Mark Cuban tried to take up for the man, saying he was probably nervous and not dismissive. Sarath attempted to make things right by saying that Lori is often “so positive, you’re so upbeat, and you’ve helped so many people.” She appreciated that but then said, “I do know when you came out here, you were looking at everyone else and not really me. I sense some chauvinism here, and I’m out again.”
Kevin O’Leary also took up for Sarath and ended up investing in his company. He later said that he thought it was a “case of nerves” and he was proud to invest in his company.
