‘Kitchen Nightmares’ Gordon Ramsay Blasts Owner ‘Living In Past’

Gordon Ramsay is on a rampage this month on Kitchen Nightmares. This is because he is trying to help a lot of restaurants in New Orleans get their businesses ready for Super Bowl LIX, which takes place in February in the city. However, along the way, he is finding a lot of restaurant owners who don’t seem willing to make changes.

He even had to lash out at one owner who was living in the past and refusing to make changes to improve his business.

Gordon Ramsay Tries To Get Restaurant Up To Date

Gordon Ramsay is trying his best to get people’s restaurants up to date and improved. Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Super Bowl LIX sees Gordon in a race against time to help restaurants prepare for business during the upcoming Super Bowl, which will bring in a ton of business.

However, some restaurant owners are unwilling to do what is needed to survive. This happened at Voleo’s Seafood Restaurant, a Cajun and Creole restaurant in Westwego, Louisiana. Thanks to the size of its menu, the restaurant is struggling to make money (via PEOPLE).

Ramsay sat down with the owner, Chef Voleo, and talked about the menu size and changes he needed to make. However, the chef said he doesn’t do very well with change. “What the f— are you doing?” Ramsay asked during the conversation.

Ramsay pointed out that the restaurant was too small to have a menu of its size. While the restaurant used to be in a larger location, it had moved to a smaller building and is now struggling to make a profit with its massive menu of over 100 items. “I am a p—ed off angry f—,” the owner said to Ramsay.

Gordon Ramsay Gets Frustrated With Owner Not Making Changes

Gordon Ramsay said the restaurant was not big enough to have 100 items on the menu. He said that he is losing money because of all the food items, many of which won’t sell, thanks to the lack of customers compared to the older, larger location.

This led to the owner saying, “I stick to my guns. I stuck to the things that got me to the point where I was at. I mean, down in Lafitte, I was doing almost half a million dollars a year. And you leave, move 30 miles, and all of a sudden everything turns to s—? How does that work?”

Gordon once again said that it is the size of the location, and changes have to be made. “This thing is spiraling out of control, and you’re losing money,” he said. When the owner said he is not into change, Gordon called him “one stubborn f—.” He said that the owner has to stop living in the past, or his restaurant will become a nightmare.

Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Super Bowl LIX airs Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on FOX.
