HGTV ‘The Flipping El Moussas’ Season 2 Plagued By Issues

Avid HGTV fans felt over the moon to learn The Flipping El Moussas would get a second season on the network. However, filming hasn’t exactly been a cakewalk for stars Tarek and Heather El Moussa.
The California housing market has certainly been volatile over the past few years. Between an unsteady market and typical renovation delays, Tarek and Heather have their work cut out for them.
However, some fans have noted that the overall sentiment of the show might move HGTV to cancel it before Season 3 ever begins.
The Flipping El Moussas Borders On Unsavory Vibes
As TV Shows Ace previously shared, The Flipping El Moussas stars had a bit of a disappointing update during their family Christmas celebration. An inspector asked Tarek and Heather to resubmit updated renovation plans for one of their properties, which would take about six weeks to process.
But that’s not the only issue plaguing the HGTV show.

According to Collider, fans sincerely miss the human element of the series. Shows like Christina on the Coast center around families looking for help with renovations. The Flipping El Moussas is based around Tarek and Heather’s desire to flip properties and build a profit.
Of course, the El Moussas have buyers for their properties. But without seeing the families and hearing their stories, many viewers feel the show is a bit subpar. On top of that, some feel Tarek and Christina are being a bit too opportunistic.
“In The Flipping El Moussas, it is clear from the state of the homes when they were purchased that the previous owners were down on their luck. So, without depictions of showing the home to excited prospective buyers, the series risks a predatory feel,” Katrina Anderson writes for Collider.

Can The Couple Make Up For It In The Flip Off?
As fans wait for the next episode of The Flipping El Moussas, they’re also eagerly anticipating the series premiere of The Flip Off. In this new show, Tarek and Heather will go head to head with his first wife, Christina Haack.
Viewers certainly want to see Tarek and Christina face off against each other in a friendly competition. But it may also be a chance for HGTV to right its wrongs. If the network can bring the human element back to the show, fans’ opinions may turn.
