Wendy Williams Says She’s Isolated At Facility, Feels Like Being In Prison

Over the past few months, TV personality Wendy Williams’ health issues have been a topic of discussion for fans. Figures including Williams’ own brother to a guardian have spoken out about her condition. In a recent interview, the star herself has shed some light on her story.

Wendy Williams Shares Her Side Of The Story

Williams is known for her work as a radio DJ, a shock jock, and a TV personality. Notably, from 2008 to 2021, she served as the host for The Wendy Williams Show.

However, the star’s health issues caused her to take breaks from the show, causing its eventual end. Following this, it would come to light that she had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia.

As noted by Page Six, Williams and her niece Alex Finnie spoke with “The Breakfast Club” radio show. Notably, the show is hosted by DJ Envy, Jess Hilarious, and Charlamagne tha God.

Williams, who called up to speak with the hosts, shared her side of the story. As she noted, “I am not cognitively impaired, but I feel like I am in prison.”

“I am definitely isolated. To talk to these people who live here, that is not my cup of tea.”

Williams’ Comments Bring To Mind Earlier Comments Made By Her Son

Williams also shared some of her everyday life with listeners, noting, “I keep the door closed.” She continued, “I watch TV. I listen to the radio.”

The star continued, “I watch the window. I sit here, and my life goes by.” The star also claimed that her cats were taken from her despite wanting to keep them close by.

Williams also expressed hope that she could attend her father’s upcoming 94th birthday in Miami. Notably, as recently reported, the star made a recent appearance in Florida to attend her son’s graduation ceremony.

Williams also notably ended the chat on a lighter moment. She shared her famous catchphrase: “How you doin’?”

One of the hosts, Charlamagne Tha God, told listeners to use Williams’ comments as a call to action and spread attention to the story on social media. As he shared, “This is a fuse that I wanted to light.”

As the publication noted, Williams’ comments and reminiscent of comments by the star’s son, Kevin Hunter Jr. Notably, Hunter Jr. shared the following in a comment to an Instagram post from Charlamagne tha God where he congratulated the star’s son for his recent graduation:

“While I’m here quick update on my mom. She’s sober and wants to come home. We’re fighting to make that happen because Isolation is killing her faster than anything else.”

  1. Someone needs to be appointed by the Courts to look in to why Wendy Williams is really under a conservatorship and how her financial matters are really being attended to.
    Once you are placed under the care of the same person who is also in charge of your financial well-being, you could be stepping right into a trap.
