‘Price Is Right’ Player Jumps Into Action, Saves Drew Carey
Drew Carey has been hosting The Price Is Right for a long time, and he usually has things on lock when it comes to running the game and making sure that everything goes smoothly. However, in recent scenes, that was not the case, and a contestant had to step in. So, what happened in recent scenes on the popular game show?
The Price Is Right: Drew Carey Has Been Hosting Popular Game Show A Long Time
Drew Carey took over hosting duties at The Price Is Right all the way back in 2007, taking over from the legendary Bob Barker. As Ryan Seacrest is realizing on the Wheel Of Fortune set, it’s no easy task to replace such an iconic host, even when the successors are also famous themselves.
Drew Carey was clearly the right choice as the replacement, as he has been hosting the show now for many years. However, even for a seasoned veteran like Carey, every once in a while, a wrench is thrown into the game that stumps him, and this is exactly what happened in recent scenes from the popular game show.
Carey Forgetful When Presenting A Recent Game
In recent The Price Is Right scenes, Drew Carey lined up the game Bullseye for a contestant. It turns out, the player was well-versed in the game, and already knew how to play it.
Based on the way that this recent scene played out on the show, it seems Drew Carey had a momentary lapse in memory, as he said: “So Christian, we’re playing a game called, uh…uh, um…”
The contestant chimed in, adding: “Bullseye!”
“Thank you!” Drew Carey said, adding: “I’m going over the rules in my head. Yeah, welcome to The…Price Is Right, everybody!”
The Price Is Right: Even Seasoned Veterans Still Make Mistakes
This recent scene from The Price Is Right is proof that, at the end of the day, everyone is human. No matter how long Drew Carey has been the host of the show, and no matter how long he has been in front of cameras over the course of his career, every once in a while, even the best of the best make mistakes.
Luckily for Drew Carey, he had a contestant who was familiar with both the show and that particular game, and, with this assist, the player was able to steer the host back on track. As a bonus, this also resulted in a hilarious moment on the game show that fans loved to see. So, even if it was at Drew Carey’s expense, it was still a funny moment.
