Drew Carey is one of the top game show hosts when it comes to relating with the players who appear on his show. He was the perfect replacement for Bob Barker, and he seems to connect better with contestants than most of his contemporaries. That was proven this week when one player had a tough decision to make, and Drew completely understood.

Here is what happened in the game and what Drew said to the player when he made a tough choice.

Price Is Right Player Makes Tough Decision On Leaving Prize Behind

Drew Carey welcomed a Price is Right contestant named Jeffrey to the stage after he won his bid on Contestants’ Row. He then went to the stage, and after a quick introduction, he was taken to his game – Let Em’ Roll.

This is one of the most random games of luck. A person has large dice. Each one has an image of a car on it and monetary values on the other sides. The goal is for all five to land on the car symbols. However, if they don’t, the person can get second chances by guessing prices and getting bonus rolls.

Jeffrey had a chance to win a new Volkswagen Jetta S and a cash prize. The care had a value of over $23,000. By the time Jeffrey rolled the dice and got his bonus rolls, he still only rolled two car symbols. This gave him a cash prize of $3,500.

Drew Carey then offered Heffrey one more chance to win the car. However, Jeffrey turned down the opportunity and left the car behind.

Drew Carey Says He Would Have Done The Same Thing

Drew Carey offered theĀ Price is Right contestant another chance to win the car. He would have one more opportunity to roll for the car, but if he failed, he would also lose the $3,500. He could win more money, but it wasn’t guaranteed to match the money he had won so far. The high point would be rolling and winning the car.

“If you don’t get the car symbols, whatever money’s showing, you still win that. It might not be the $3,500 but you win something.” Drew explained. Jeffrey looked at the car and said, “Oh, I got $3,500 right now. I’ll take the money, dude. I’ll take the money.”

Drew Carey nodded and agreed with the choice, saying, “I don’t blame ya. I would’ve done the same thing. Good decision as far as I’m concerned.”

This was also a wise choice. If he had given up the money and won the car, he would have had to pay taxes on the $23,000 and likely would have had to take out a loan for that money.
