‘Ms. Rachel’ Announces Partnership With Netflix

Social media personality and children’s entertainer Ms. Rachel has big news for her fans. The star’s videos will soon be coming to Netflix. Ms. Rachel also teased the new partnership in a clip on social media.

Children’s Entertainer Ms. Rachel Is Known For Songs for Littles

Ms. Rachel, also known as Rachel Accurso, born Rachel Griffin, is a YouTube personality. A singer-songwriter and educator, she is known for her children’s series, Songs for Littles. Much of her work focuses on early language development.

Notably, Ms. Rachel has a master’s degree in music education from NYU. Using her teaching background, she has shared content on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

On the show, Ms. Rachel is joined with a variety of co-stars, notably the puppet characters, Georgie and Herbie. In some videos, the Muppets from Sesame Street have occasionally made guest appearances in her videos.

As the official YouTube account shares, “Toddler Learning Videos and Baby Learning Videos with a real teacher, Ms. Rachel! Ms. Rachel uses techniques recommended by speech therapists and early childhood experts to help children learn important milestones and preschool skills! You can trust Ms. Rachel to provide interactive, high quality screen time!”

However, Ms. Rachel is now making her foray into streaming. Netflix recently announced a partnership with Accurso through Tudum.

Ms. Rachel Also Teased Her Netflix Debut On Instagram

The streaming platform also released the following statement: “Ms. Rachel will be available to stream in a curated compilation of her playful, research-backed videos. It was highlighted that the videos are “for every stage of a child’s development, from early language skills to phonics and learning to read.” Four episodes are expected to drop later this month, on January 27, 2024.

As Netflix noted, Ms. Rachel’s videos have already garnered billions of views. It was also noted that some parents view her as a modern-day Mr. Rogers.

As noted by USA Today, the children’s entertainer is married to husband Aron Accurso, a Broadway director and composer. Together, they write the songs used in her clips.

Notably, Ms. Rachel also promoted the news of the new partnership on Instagram. Teasingly asking viewers about the letters of the day, she revealed a letter “N” straight from the Netflix logo.

As Ms. Rachel wrote in the caption, “HUGE news for parents (and littles) everywhere! Some of your favorite @msrachelforlittles songs and lessons are coming to Netflix [on] January 27!” As she shared in the clip, “Soon, you can also watch ‘Ms. Rachel’ on Netflix! More ways to watch.”

The episodes are expected to be compilations of some of Ms. Rachel’s famous YouTube clips. Each will last around 30 to 60 minutes.

Available for streaming, parents and children will get to enjoy Ms. Rachel’s videos without advertising. More episodes are expected to come later this year on Netflix, but a date hasn’t been announced yet.
