Kelly Ripa Is Worried About Mark Consuelos’s Safety
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos love oversharing with their audience on Live with Kelly and Mark. This week, Kelly talked to the audience about something Mark loves to do. However, this is something that scares Kelly to death. As a matter of fact, Kelly said she asked her dad to please watch out for him.
Here is what Mark loves to do that has Kelly fearing for his life.
Kelly Ripa Worried About Mark’s Passion
Kelly Ripa was talking about Mark Consuelos’s love of the Tampa Bay Buccanneers. The Bucs had a great season and made it to the playoffs for the Wildcard round. However, unfortunately for Tampa Bay, they had to play the Washington Commanders in the first round.
The Bucs had a home game for that one, and if they won, they could have gone on to face the Philadelphia Eagles in a road game in the second round of the NFL playoffs. They lost, though, so their season has ended. Kelly said that Mark got a phone call, and she heard him say, “Tell ‘em they stink.”
Mark admitted, “I know who to go to for a little empathy, and it’s not Joe Ripa.”
However, Mark said he was happy since his “favorite team” (the Bucs) gave him their sixth playoff game. Mark then congratulated Baker Mayfield for giving him a great season. “I’m proud of you guys,” he said. This was then when Kelly began to tell the story of her biggest fear.
Kelly Ripa Is Scared When Mark Consuelos Goes To NFL Games In Philadelphia
If there is one NFL city that is scary for opposing fans to visit, it is Philadelphia. These are the fans who threw snowballs with batteries in them at Dallas Cowboys football players. These are the fans who booed Santa Claus.
Kelly Ripa admitted that she and her father are Philadelphia Eagles fans. Mark said that after the Bucs lost and the Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers, he would cheer for Phily to make it to the Super Bowl. However, he admitted that if Tampa had won, they would have played Philadelphia this weekend.
Kelly, who is from South Jersey, said, “It always scares me to death when my husband goes to a Bucs game in Philadelphia. And I’ll have to say to my dad, who’s in his mid-eighties, ‘Please protect him.’”
It was a funny moment, but it shows how much Kelly looks up to her dad and how dangerous she realizes that football games in Philadelphia really are.
