Last week, Katey took to social media to share the first photo of her twins, Elsie Kate and Emma Kate. According to the Counting On alum, Elsie was born on January 8, 2025, at 2:06 PM. She weighs 6 pounds, 14 ounces. Meanwhile, Emma was born later at 2:13 PM and weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. Katey couldn’t help but admire how beautiful her little girls are. Now, Katey and Jed have kids four within three years of marriage.

Are Jed & Katey’s Twins Identical?

Many fans have wondered if Jed and Katey’s twin daughters are identical. Fortunately, the Counting On alums didn’t waste any time and clarified the topic on social media. During a Q&A, Katey revealed that they took DNA tests before the girls were born to see if they were identical. According to Katey, Elsie Kate and Emma Kate are not identical. Instead, they were fraternal twins because they had different blood types. Katey later said that she could tell the two were not identical due to the differences in their noses.

Counting On: Fans Think Katey Duggar Is Now Duggar Royalty

Many Redditors have also been speculating that Katey Duggar is now treated as “Duggar Royalty” for being the first in-law to have twins. According to a Reddit thread last August, some married couples may be jealous of Jed and Katey’s twins. Others also pointed out that Anna could’ve held the title. But things went south for her due to Josh Duggar’s CSAM arrest in April 2021.
