Over the years, fans have often wondered about the bizarre happenings on Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch. This has often led to accusations of the show really being satire. Recently, some fans took to social media to point out a map might shed some light on the situation.

Fans Have Noticed Unusual Things At Blind Frog Ranch For Quite A While

On Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, Duane Ollinger invested all he had into the titular ranch. He, his son Chad, and their team search for a possible treasure hidden somewhere in the area.

Meanwhile, the area is also the subject of rumors from locals, who claim it is cursed. This has not been lost on viewers, who have noted some bizarre happenings on the show.

However, this has often caused fans to wonder if what happens on the show is really as genuine as it is presented. One fan recently took to the show’s Reddit to talk about how the show might not be “quite above board.”

The user noted, “I just watched the episode where they track the tracking beacon through the mountain. When they get to the Pole Creek Sink, the narrator said it was 3 miles from the ranch.”

“According to Google Maps, it is over 14 miles, and it is also uphill from the ranch in elevation. Also, the bead site is north of the pond. And the Sink is northwest of the pond. So makes no sense how the beacon got to the Sink.”

“Also, I couldn’t find Lake Anaconda anywhere. The only Anaconda I found was the Anaconda Reservoir, just south of the Great Salt Lake and that is over 127 miles from the ranch.”

One Fan Quoted The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Mantra

In the comments, one fan suggested a possible explanation. As they mused, “Remember they change locations prior to posting so no one can find the referenced targets.”

“I may be wrong, but that’s the line on Blind Frog Ranch and Skinwalker Ranch. If you live close by and have access more power to you, but I am sure they don’t want anyone on-site, unless invited.”

However, many fans shared the sentiment that these things should be taken with a grain of salt. These fans suggested thinking of the show as more of a comedy series. Such comments included:

  • “Don’t let little things like facts get in the way of enjoying the best comedic treasure hunt on tv. Findings like this just enhance the fakery and enlarge the laughs. Honestly did you ever believe this foolishness was real?”
  • “They need the guys from Mountain Monsters to come and battle the serpent!”
  • “I watch Oak Island, Skinwalker, Ancient Aliens, etc. This was the only show I had to stop watching because of how ridiculous it was. Think about that.”
  • “Take a deep breath and repeat the lyrics from MST3K but think BFR… If you’re wondering how he eats and breathes and other science facts (la la la), Then repeat to yourself, “It’s just a show, I should really just relax For Mystery of Blind Frog Ranch!”
