‘Mama June’ Pumpkin Goes Big, Makes It ‘Permanent’ With Darrin
Mama June Shannon’s daughter, Pumpkin Efird is going big and making it “permanent” with her boyfriend, Darrin Kitchens. Fans know that he is her ex-husband, Josh Efird’s cousin, and prior to the split, they were getting cozy. Now, they are taking her romance to another level. So, what have they done? Mama June Pumpkin Makes It ‘Permanent’ With Darrin
Pumpkin Efird shocked her fans and followers when she called it quits with her husband, Josh Efird. They seemed to be happy while building a family along the way. The couple had four children, Ella, Bentley, Sylus, and Stella plus they helped raise Pumpkin’s sister, Alana Thompson. Pumpkin and Josh navigated a lot of rough waters and were there when Mama June was unable to be a proper parent. He was also by his wife’s side when her sister, Anna Cardwell fell ill and ended up passing away from stage 4 adrenal carcinoma.
Unfortunately, Pumpkin and Josh filed for divorce in August 2024 which was a huge shock to all of their followers. To add insult to injury, she was dating his cousin, Darrin Kitchens, and had been since around April. So, that was likely the catalyst for the divorce. They began traveling together and spending a lot of time going here, there, and everywhere. Fans questioned if she was ever with her children as she and Darrin were love-drunk and now, they have made their love permanent.
According to Pumpkin’s Instagram, she and Darrin have gotten matching “143” tattoos. They are quite big though neither one is new to tattoos. Below the photo, Pumpkin wrote “Locked in” with a fingers crossed emoji and two hearts. It seems Mama June’s daughter has found her soulmate in Darrin but she also had ink with Josh and look how that turned out. After fans saw that they went and got matching tattoos, they just had to shake their heads and vent:
- What does “Locked in 🤞🏼” mean 😂 she hoping this is what keeps him from shacking up with another cousin while she’s still married to Josh
The Eye Roll Is Real
Many Mama June fans and followers could not stop talking about how Pumpkin Efird was dating her ex-husband’s cousin. They made jokes and referenced that situation but also felt a tattoo did not signify forever:
- I am rolling my eyes SO HARD RN 🙄
- I don’t know why these people get tattoos. Their relationships don’t last, but the tattoos do.
- I’d have to be married for 20+ years to someone before I’d even consider getting a matching tattoo.
- She wasn’t even this “locked in” with her husband. Watch out yall June Jr. over here !
It will be interesting to see how this relationship plays out. They clearly do not care what others think of them and are happy being together. If this is Pumpkin’s forever, so be it.
