‘Swamp People’ Ashley Jones Shares Shocking Announcement
Ashley Jones of Swamp People fame has been a fan-favorite on the History Channel series for years. The reality star recently shared an update with fans on social media. Fans also took to the comments to share their support.
The Swamp People Star Reshared A Post For Fans Who Missed It
Ashley appeared through Season 10 to 15 on the reality series. Since first appearing in 2018, the alligator hunter has quickly become a fan-favorite among viewers, with many appreciating her as a strong, female figure.
For years, Ashley was known for working with her friend Ronnie Adams. In addition, she also appeared on the Serpent Invasion spin-off, switching her target from alligators to pythons.
Jones recently took to social media to share information she had worried fans had missed. As she revealed, “Well y’all I’m retiring from Swamp People (or for sure taking a break)! I know many of you will be sad to hear this and I can only pray for your continued support.”
The reality star explained that she wanted more time with her family. As she explained, “I’ve gotten to a time in my life where missing the first month of school with my kids really affects their entire school year. They are also older and involved in a lot that I will not miss for any amount of money.”
Jones wanted to assure fans that this was a decision she did not make lightly. As she shared, “We also have so much going on with running a law firm. Please know that I’ve already given it as much thought as possible and this is my decision!”

The star then took time to thank the various members of the production team, “from producers to assistants.” She also thanked the people of Louisiana. Jones continued to thank the various other members of the show, including Ronnie, “for getting me on the show.”
The repost also opened up with an update. As it read, “Still happy with my decision but I do miss it. I never realized how much time I was missing with the kids until I took a step back. This past year has been crammed with just family time and adventures with @heathersmithoutdoors and the Littles!”

Jones finished her post writing, “I’m sad to share this news because I know a lot of y’all will be disappointed but thank y’all again SO much! I can only hope y’all still support my social media endeavors and Law Firm!”
Jones shared her post with fans both on Facebook and Instagram. On the latter, various fans shared their support:
