Jenna Bush Hager Making Career Move Outside Of ‘Today’
Jenna Bush Hager is about to enter a new era on The Today Show. With Hoda Kotb finished with her role on the show after Friday’s episode, Jenna will have a rotating list of co-hosts on Jenna & Friends to replace Hoda. However, this week, Jenna also said that she had a new career move that she had planned as well other than the show.
Here is what Jenna said she plans to focus on next in her career.
Jenna Bush Hager Plans New Career Move
Jenna Bush Hager said she has some big career plans, which have nothing to do with her role as a Today Show host. She was talking on Wednesday with Hoda Kotb and announced she had created a new book imprint. She has created Thousand Voices Books as a Random House Publishing Group imprint.
This isn’t just about Jenna and her writing either. She said the imprint is going to focus on finding emerging authors across various genres (via Hello!). “This new venture is a natural extension of my passion for books and reading, and an existing collaboration with writers and publishers, but still entirely new and exciting,” she said.
She mentioned they want authors from different genres, including “romance, suspense, romantasy, literary fiction, historical fiction and memoir.” Jenna even found her first author. The imprint’s first book will be Conform by Ariel Sullivan, a dystopian romance set for an October debut.
After this, they have a lineup already planned out. It includes Into the Blue by Emma Brodie, Abby Offsides by Anna McCallie, June Baby by Shannon Garvey, Liar’s Dice by Juliet Faithfull, and Laws of Love and Logic by Debra Curtis. All those books are set for a 2025 release.
“The hope is that we’re pulling up the chair for a thousand different perspectives,“ Jenna continued. “Because I do feel like literature and reading, and I’ve always felt this way, can bring you into different worlds; can show you different perspectives.”
Jenna Hager Bush Starting New Today Show Era As Well
Jenna Hager Bush also has a big new era planned on The Today Show. With Hoda Kotb retiring from the show, Jenna will have different partners every day on her talk show, Jenna & Friends, and it will remain rotating until she and the show pick up a new permanent co-host.
The co-hosts include some major Hollywood names. Already lined up to host with Jenna are Scarlett Johansson, Taraji P. Henson, Eva Longoria, and Keke Palmer.
