‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Say It’s Impossible To Solve Puzzles
Wheel of Fortune fans have not been kind this season and are very vocal about their complaints. Many fans have blasted Ryan Seacrest, who took over the hosting duties from the retiring Pat Sajak. However, other fans have insulted the players’ skills and are now attacking the production team. Here is what is bothering the fans about the game show.
Fans Blast Wheel Of Fortune Recently, Why?
Wheel of Fortune fans have spent a lot of time criticizing the show this season. They complain a lot about Ryan Seacrest and have said the players this year are not as smart as in past seasons. Now, many fans are taking aim at the production team. These complaints focus on both the camera work and the show’s editing.
One fan started a Reddit thread and complained about the editing of the show this season. The OP of the thread (@Cozum) wrote, “does it drive anyone else crazy how often they switch away from the puzzle??” They said they couldn’t figure out the answer because the camera kept leaving the board to go to the wheel, the contestants, and Ryan, and wouldn’t remain still.
They wanted to know if they were the only ones. This led to many fellow fans agreeing with the sentiment:
- “They should keep it up always, I hate when they switch over the wheel. Maybe PIP?”
- “I will use my dvr to pause sometimes. They don’t show the board even long enough for Vanna to flip some of the letters sometimes.”
- “100% I’ve been saying that too. Half the fun is playing along!”
The main idea for fixing it has fans calling for picture-in-picture (PIP), which would allow the board to be shown while the other camera can stick with the contestants, Ryan, or the wheel. Wheel of Fortune already uses picture-in-picture in the bonus rounds, with the contestants in the small screen and the board in the main one.
Fans Have Lots Of Wheel Of Fortune Complaints This Season
It is really no surprise there are so many Wheel of Fortune complaints this season. The show was going to come under fire from the fans who either didn’t want Pat Sajak to retire or the ones who didn’t want Ryan Seacrest to join the show. The ratings have been fantastic, but some vocal fans online want to hate it.
While this specific complaint has merit, and it seems fans want to improve things, others don’t. Many fans complain about the gameplay this season, with some blasting players for not flipping the cards when they get the chance. Other fans at home mock players who miss puzzles they solved on their couches.

I’m really enjoying Ryan hosting on the wheel. He is so good with the contestants. The whole show just seems to have a friendlier feel to it. Ryan puts everyone at ease. People who criticize, in my opinion, are just not good with change. I believe the change has been very good and equally enjoyable if not more so. I like the rapport between Ryan and Vanna. It seems like they really like each other. It’s been a very good fit. PS: I’ve been a viewer for years.
