‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Have Exciting Idea For 50th Anniversary
The 50th anniversary of Wheel of Fortune is underway. Fans have come up with a ton of great ideas for the anniversary season of the popular game show. While some ideas won’t happen, like wishing Pat Sajak would return from retirement, others are always a possibility. There are even fans who have an idea for a Theme Week for the show’s 50th anniversary.
Here is what one fan wants to see the game show add as a Theme Week for long-time fans.
Wheel Of Fortune Fans Want A Special Theme Week For 50th Anniversary
Wheel of Fortune has held Theme Week before. Examples have included “Armed Forces Week,” “Teachers Week,” and “Sweethearts Week.” One Redditor came up with an idea for a “Fan Favorite” theme the show could hold in its 50th anniversary.
Redditor @ResponseDelivious288 wrote, “Thoughts on a Fan Favorite Week? A week of contestants from that season that were memorable – for better and for worse? Could be somebody entertaining or maybe somebody notorious for a silly wrong answer. Could be somebody with bad luck on the wheel or somebody who had a phenomenal game and deserves to come back.”
They asked if anyone had any other fun themes they could think of. Some fans had thoughts on the Fan Favorite Week idea.

- “Teachers Week because gawd knows they need the money.”
- “They’ve done weeks like that before.”
A Former Wheel Of Fortune Player Would Love To Be In On It
This led to a former Wheel of Fortune player chiming in and saying they would love to be invited back for a Fan Favorite episode. This player had the Redditor name @Salzano14. Their real name is Grant Salzano.
Grant Salzano won Wheel of Fortune for the second night on May 31, 2023. This made him the winner of the Wheel of Fortune/WWE Tournament with his partner, WWE superstar Natalya. Each team consisted of a fan and a WWE superstar and Grant won tickets to WrestleMania thanks to his big win.
In the Reddit thread, he wrote, “My very selfish wish for a Fan Favorites episode is to bring the 3 recent tournament champions (myself, Jill Prince, and Cody Munger) on for a “tournament of champions” episode.”
This caused Cody Munger to respond and say, “I’m biased but tournament champion showdown sounds pretty cool… I’ll answer the phone if that call comes.” Cody won in October 2024.
