My 600-Lb Life Season 10 featured the story of Mike Meginness. He appeared on the show at 745 pounds. Unlike many other patients of Dr. Now, Mike didn’t have a traumatic childhood. His weight gain began when he turned into an adult. He was an athlete in college, playing for a football team. However, his career ended early after suffering from concussions.

Mike showed determination during his episode. He’s been living with his parents for quite some time and had to rely on them for all his daily needs. The My 600-Lb Life star did not want his life to stay that way. Due to this, he followed Dr. Now’s strict weight loss program and eventually qualified for bariatric surgery.
Throughout his journey with Dr. Now, Mike dropped 235 pounds, making him one of the most successful patients of Season 10. His last reported weight was 510 lbs, but many of his photos today indicate that he has made more progress today.
Mike’s Huge Weight Loss Update
Mike has been in touch with fans on social media since his episode ended. The My 600-Lb Life star likes to share motivational quotes online, showing his positive mindset. On New Year’s Eve, Mike Meginness uploaded a photo of himself, showing off a much slimmer physique. He has yet to share his current weight. But many of Mike’s FB posts show that he’s been traveling with his family, which is something he couldn’t do before.
My 600-Lb Life: Mike Meginness Is Back To Work
Aside from his weight, Mike Meginness also got himself back on track in other ways. According to his FB bio, he currently works as a 7/8 grade basketball coach at Bunsold Middle School. He’s been proudly sharing some of the sports achievements of his students. Mike currently lives in Marysville, Ohio.
His status is still single, though it seems he’s interested in finding a significant other. Last November, the My 600-Lb Life star endorsed himself, saying that dating him would be a “blast,” adding that he has all kinds of personalities, from being a responsible dad to a cuddle buddy, and even a therapist.
