’90DF’ Sunny Mahdi Tells His Dad About Veah, It Doesn’t Go Well
90 Day Fiance star, Sunny Mahdi finally told his father about proposing to Veah Netherton. However, the conversation did not go well. The Trip Starts Off Rocky
Veah Netherton and Sunny Mahdi met each other in person for the first time on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days. However, their vacation with each other did not start off well. Veah decided to bring her ex-boyfriend with her to visit Sunny. She was nervous about traveling alone. However, she did not warn Sunny that he was coming. So, when he found out, he was livid. He wanted to breakup and send her on a plane back to the United States. However, they got past it. Now they have a new obstacle to overcome.
Sunny Mahdi Tells Father About Proposal
Sunny Mahdi proposed to Veah Netherton by a waterfall when it was just the two of them. However, he revealed to her that he was not going to tell anyone about their engagement. This was not okay with her. So, Sunny finally told his father about it and the conversation did not go well. His dad gave him an ultimatum.
“If the man is Muslim, the woman has to follow the man… If someone knows Sunny got a wife but doesn’t convert, Sunny wife is a Christian. People will say, ‘Shame on Sunny.’ It is wrong, shame of my family.”
Veah is confused, so she asks if he means that Sunny has to choose between her and his father. His dad confirms that is what he meant. Sunny let his dad know he was not leaving Veah. However, his father clapped back with:
“Do you know what you’re doing? Don’t count on me for anything in the future.”
It seems as though his father does not want him to marry a woman who is not Muslim or who will not convert. Veah has made it clear that she is a Christian and will not convert. So, Sunny either has to choose to be with Veah and lose his father or the other way around. This is a hard choice for anyone to make. Fans feel bad for Sunny as he is caught in a crossroads.
