2025 ‘One Chicago’ Crossover Event: Details & Release Date
Three television dramas, shared by a setting, are set to come together in a crossover event. Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. will share a storyline in a 2025 event known as One Chicago. More details, including when it will air, have come out about the event.
The Three-Part Crossovers Used To Feel Like An Annual Event
Med, Fire, and P.D. are three NBC series set in the Windy City, with each series coming out in the 2010s. Each show also notably features Dick Wolf as an executive producer and prominent showrunner. The main division, however, is that all three shows focus on different public services.
Together, all three shows make up the Chicago, or One Chicago, franchise. A fourth series, the short-lived Chicago Justice, which aired in 2017, also served as part of the group.
As noted by Monsters & Critics, characters from the series have appeared on their sister-shows. However, there hasn’t been a true crossover event between all three shows in years.
All three shows had their first crossover event together in a 2016 event. This was made up of three episodes, Fire‘s “The Beating Heart,” Med‘s “Malignant,” and P.D.‘s “Now I’m God.”
Becoming something of an annual tradition, similar crossover events between the three shows also took place in 2018 and 2019. Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Justice also had a similar three-part crossover event in 2017. Over the years, similar three-part events were also held with the Chicago shows crossing over with Law & Order shows.

However, Monsters & Critics shared that fans will soon get another three-part event in 2025. As the publication noted, the event has already been filmed.
The upcoming crossover will air Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Fire will open the event, with Med following, and P.D. bringing things to a close.

The publication previously shared some information about the event. Things will start out with an explosion impacting the city. Viewers are also expected to see some characters interact for the first time.
Notably, an Instagram account for NBC’s One Chicago franchise also teased fans about the event in a recent post. As noted in the caption, the actors are “in our [One Chicago] crossover era” as they were seen taking behind-the-scenes selfies with each other.
Taking to the comments, many fans were excited about the event. As one excited fan wrote, “One Chicago Crossover!!! Crossovers are back, baby!”
