‘General Hospital’ Steve Burton Announces He’s Engaged
One General Hospital actor is already getting the new year off to a great start. Actor Steve Burton recently shared on Instagram that he is engaged. Taking to the comments, many fellow soap opera alumni also congratulated Burton for the news.
The Couple Shared The Big News With A Biblical Quote & A Slideshow
Burton is known for his work on soaps. Notably, he has played Jason Morgan on General Hospital starting in 1991.
Burton is also known for appearing in soaps like Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. He is also known for a variety of other projects, such as hosting the Daily Drama podcast with General Hospital alum Bradford Anderson.
On Instagram, Burton recently shared some news with fans. He had recently gotten engaged to Michelle Lundstrom.
Lundstrom appeared on Netflix’s BBQ Showdown cooking competition series. She is also noted for being a food influencer, sharing recipes on various social media accounts.
The post, which was shared by both Lundstrom and Burton, featured a slideshow of the two together. As noted in the caption, the engagement took place on “1/3/25.” However, the post was shared the following day.
In the caption, the pair quoted Jeremiah 29:11. As it read, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'”

Many other soap opera actors also took to the comments to share their well wishes with the couple. Both Lauralee Bell, known for playing Christine Blair on The Young and the Restless, and Cameron Mathison, who plays Drew Cain on General Hospital, for example, shared heart emojis.
Other General Hospital alumni share lengthier posts to congratulate the couple. Rick Hearst, known for playing Ric Lansing on General Hospital, wrote, “Steve and Michelle, I wish you both a long, loving and fruitful life together! Congratulations.”

Finola Hughes, who is known for playing Anna Devane on General Hospital and All My Children, wrote, “Oh Steve!!!! Congratulations! I wish you both all the happiness in the future, you are a wonderful couple! Congratulations Michelle!”
Burton also shared the news that he and Lundstrom were together back in May 2024. The news was originally broken by Daily Drama, which noted, “General Hospital and Days of our Lives star Steve Burton is officially off the market. The star confirmed to Daily Drama he’s in a relationship with [Netflix’s] BBQ Showdown star Michelle Lundstrom.”
