‘Swamp People’ Joey Edgar’s Daughter Kallie To Join Show
On the History series Swamp People, alligator hunting is often a family business. Many of those featured on the show come from a long line of seasoned alligator hunters. With the upcoming season, one family is set to introduce a member to the show’s main cast.
Joey Edgar Often Dotes On His Daughter Kallie On Social Media
Swamp People first aired on History in 2010. Over the years, fans have tuned in to see the lives of alligator hunters in the swamps of the Atchafalaya River Basin in Louisiana.
Starting in the seventh season, members of the Edgar family have prominently featured on the reality series. In fact, one member of the family is set to join the show with its upcoming sixteenth season.
As confirmed by Distractify, Joey Edgar’s daughter Kallie is set to join the series. Swamp People fans may already be familiar with Kallie, as her father has often doted on and shared photos of her on social media.
Back in 2023, Joey praised Kallie on Facebook, asking Swamp People fans to send his “baby girl some Swamp Love!” At the time, he shared, Kallie received her packet in the mail today for a successful completion of the 240-hour curriculum of study for Dental Assistant.”
A Crew Member Also Shared What Swamp People Viewers Can Expect From Kallie
Joey also hinted at her role as a hunter towards the end of the post. As he wrote, “She’s worked hard for these certifications while working two jobs, now she has three. We are so proud of her! Now you just have to work on your hunter’s safety tut, it’s time to Make ‘em pay!”
On Instagram, Joey has often shared photos of him and Kallie hunting together. In one post, he shared a photo of Kallie with a deer. As he wrote, “First deer of the season! 8pt! Way to go, Kallie! Daddy is so proud of you!!”
In a conversation with TV Insider, executive producer Brian Catalina talked about Kallie joining the show. He noted, “We’re getting to witness him bring her into the family business through alligator hunting, which is a very important step in the evolution of that family. She is a remarkable young lady. I’ve known her for a long time.”
Catalina described Kallie as “tough,” “smart, “very polite,” and “a very well-developed young lady.” He noted “she really embodies a lot of what folks value about the show” and “has an amazing work ethic.”

Catalina also noted, “You see her out there on the boat. I think she will blow a lot of people away.”
