‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Pick Second Chance Tournament Favorites
The Jeopardy! Second Chance 2025 tournament is about to start. This is the first part of the postseason, culminating in the main Tournament of Champions later in January and into February. However, many fans are more excited about the Second Chance Tournament because it gives some fan favorites a chance to get back into contention.
Here is a look at who the fans are behind, and who they want to win this first tournament of 2025.
Jeopardy! Second Chance Tournament Underway
The Jeopardy! Second Chance Tournament offers contestants who didn’t win during the season a second chance to enter the prized Tournament of Champions. Invitations are sent to players who showed they were good enough to win but lost tough battles in matches that could have gone either way.
This year’s Jeopardy! Second Chance Tournament involves 19 contestants who didn’t win this past season. They are split into two divisions, and each division’s winner will move into the Champions Wildcard Tournament. That tournament is for those who won but didn’t win enough for a ToC invite.
The two winners from that tournament will get invites into the Jeopardy! Tournamant of Champions. Here is a look at who is playing in the Second Chance Tournament:

Jeopardy! Second Chance Tournament Favorites
Fans got a chance to get to know these contestants during the season. Many fans wanted them to win their games, and this gave them a chance to see a second chance for the Tournament of Champions. This also means that many fans have strong favorites for this initial Jeopardy! tournament.
Here is a look at some fans’ picks to win this and move on to the next tournament later in January (via TV Insider):
- “I think Drew would likely win the 2nd half. He kinda resembles a 1980s George Michael during the Wham days.”
- “My predictions: week 1: Will Kaitlin Gino. Week 2: Drew, Enzo, Ferdinand.”
- “Holy cow, Enzo/Zoe/Josh is a tough draw for all three.”
The 2025 Jeopardy! post-season appears as one constant stream of tournaments. The Second Chance Tournament will last two weeks and present the two winners who will move on to the Wildcard Tournament. That second tournament will then last two weeks as well, with its two winners moving on to the ToC.
After that, the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions will premiere on January 27 and last into February. Three players get a bye in that tournament: Adriana Harmeyer, Isaac Hirsch, and Drew Basile.
