‘Home Improvement’ Star Arrested Over Domestic Violence Charge
One star from the 1990s sitcom, Home Improvement, has recently been arrested on charges of domestic violence. Notably, this isn’t the first time the star had been on such a charge. In addition, the actor appeared to have been physically injured during his arrest.
The Home Improvement Star Was Arrested On New Year’s Day
Home Improvement originally ran from 1991 to 1999. The series starred Tim Allen as Tim Taylor, a home improvement specialist with his own show. On the show, Tim balances his career with his family life, which includes his wife and three sons.
Zachery Ty Bryan played Brad Taylor, the eldest of Tim’s three sons, throughout the series. He lasted in the role until the series’ end in 1999. Notably, he was actually younger than co-star Jonathan Taylor Thomas, who played his younger brother on the show.
As noted by TMZ, Bryan was recently arrested in South Carolina, according to online records. The star had been charged with second-degree domestic violence.
Law enforcement told the publication that cops responded to a call over a domestic issue on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025. By the time police arrived, it was determined that the star had gotten into a physical fight.
Zachery Ty Bryan Has Had Multiple Legal Troubles Over The Past Few Years
After his arrest, Bryan has been held at Horry County Jail. His bond is currently set at $10,000.
According to a mug shot shared by the publication, the star appeared to have cuts on his cheek, lips, and chin. His forehead also appeared to have a red mark.
Notably, Bryan has undergone various legal troubles over the past few years. Back in February 2024, he had been arrested for a DUI in California, causing him to receive a felony charge. Earlier, in July 2023, he was also arrested for alleged domestic violence.
As noted by Entertainment Weekly, back in October 2020, Bryan was also held on various charges, including misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, following an argument with his girlfriend. The following year, he pled guilty of two of the charges, while others were dismissed.
In addition to his work on Home Improvement, he also notably appeared in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift in 2006. Bryan also notably made appearances on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Touched by an Angel, Smallville, and Cold Case.
